Raul came on the day we had scheduled & removed the old siding. He pointed out to me that the bottom of the cedar boards where the siding was to be attached was damp & we needed to wait a day for it to dry. He returned the next day & put up the siding as planned. "After receiving 4 quotes to replace the siding on the south-facing end of our 1950's home - still possessing its original 1956 siding - we decided to choose Athex. They were chosen not because of the quote, but because there was something "good" we saw in this father/son duo. Though the project developed hiccups as we decided to also inject insulation into walls, they were accommodating to these delays and we offered more work for them to remedy a previous window installers "hack job" by adding picture-frame trim to all our windows. We also accepted their bid to paint the house to cover the scars left by the insulation installation. We were very fortunate to have met and used Athex. "Marcio (the company owner) responded for a request for estimate immediately after I opened the project. He arrived right on time and provided a fair verbal quote for repairing and staining my 32-year-old cedar deck (420 square feet). A few days later, a Planet Builders employee arrived punctually with a fully-equipped van complete with company name and logo. He worked hard for eight hours and completed all tasks in one day instead of the two that Marcio quoted. He removed defective cedar deck boards, replaced a rotten beam, sanded, and applied two coats of stain to the deck and built-in benches. It looks better than it has in years! He hauled away all scrap and left my backyard clean. My only complaint (minor) was the lack of written quote which I requested via text and Marcio did not acknowledge. I recommend Planet Builders!"
