"We selected Advanced Outdoor Services for the job because of their consistently excellent ratings on Angie's List, and we were very pleased with their work. When we bought our house in the 1970's, it had wrought-iron-type railings on each side of the front steps. They worked well, but twenty years later were rusting out, so we had another contractor replace them with a heavy-pipe railing just on one side. It was more or less functional, but not too attractive, and eventually came loose at the bottom. We decided we wanted to go back to railings on each side, and AOS obtained the black aluminum railings we liked and installed them. The porch looks much more attractive now, and gives us a handhold on each side of the steps. Jeff Luman and his brother and crew handled every aspect of the job, including relocating our mailbox, personally and professionally, and we're pleased with this improvement to our home."

"I dealt with Tim for the price and project details and then Jeff was the man who came out to do the job. The deck had previously been done by a guy who did not know what he was doing so Jeff power washed the entire deck and let it dry for 24 hours, then he sanded the deck and scrubbed it down with denatured alcohol to help remove any remaining paint from before. When the deck was dry, Jeff taped off everything and proceeded to edge everything before he rolled a nice thick layer of paint on the deck. We waited another 24 hours and Jeff returned to apply a nice second coat of paint on the entire deck. Tim and Jeff are very easy to work with and I will most certainly come back to them for future projects."

"Lance and his company was most professional and courteous before we even committed to an install. Once we scheduled an install, it was well executed and looked and worked great. Training was done by a superb trainer that our dog took to immediately. You can tell they care about their profession as well as the animal. A year later, damage was done by a third party. "I needed a chain link fence (5 ft high w/ a 5 ft wide gate) to contain my 115 lb GSD/Rottie mix). This needed to happen FAST. Willis was the very first person to (IMMEDIATELY) respond to my inquiry on Angi (out of 4 total responses). He came out to my house quickly and gave me an estimate on the spot. The price was MUCH lower than the previous company and the good rapport we had (and his credentials and knowledge/years in the fencing business) made me lean more towards hiring him than the other 3 companies. The fence was installed within DAYS. There was always very good communication about when he'd be at my house for setting the posts and doing the remaining work. Very respectful of property and SUPER understanding about my XXXL protective dog! I'm super happy with how it turned out and HIGHLY recommend Whitson's. Fast, affordable, friendly, and my XXXL doggo is contained!"

"We called for a quote, asking specifically if they also did the eaves trough, and they called back within a half hour and gave us the quote for the house and eaves trough. He said he pulled up a picture of our house online and quoted it that way. We were a little uneasy about this because our house is a Cape Cod in the front, but the back is a full-size two-story house. The quote sounded reasonable, so we hired them. They came out within a few days, and were actually early. The two-man crew was very nice and friendly. They immediately told my wife that there was a problem, that they may not have enough hose and asked if they could use our hose, which was fine and they did. When they were done, my wife went out and looked at the work with them, although that was her idea, not theirs. A good part of the eaves trough was untouched, including one of the end caps which was still black with dirt and mold. When she asked about that, they told her it was "staining" that wouldn't come off. On the side of the house that was the worst, with the most mold, they told her they couldn't get some spots because the slope of the land made it unsafe, so the bottom half was done, but not the upper half. The dormers on the front of the house are done, but there are places that were missed. Unfortunately, I wasn't there or I wouldn't have paid them the total amount. I know that the eaves troughs can be cleaned better because I did them last time, and got almost all of the mold off--it just takes a little elbow grease! There are parts of the eaves trough that you can see where they cleaned and it looks good, but just missed another spot further on and left it like that. We expected a professional job because of the good reviews we read on Angie's List, but I could have done a better job myself, for free! Maybe it was just the team we were sent, but we were disappointed in the result. These people were totally unprepared to do the job. They did not have the proper hoses, ladders, etc. Our house is not what you would consider a really large house, so how do they do other, larger homes??"

"Darryl and crew arrived when expected and kept in contact when rain or wind was a problem. They were professional, polite, and hard working. They were consistently concerned that we were happy and when pointing out one or two small things, they were very pleasant about making sure things were done to our satisfaction. This is rare in a contractor of any type. Darryl reminded me “you are paying us to paint your house”! Whoa, never heard those words come out of a contractors mouth before....I have heard plenty of “well we did this but if we have to do it again, you have to pay more” when contractors do things to THEIR satisfaction. Darryl and his crew are not those people. I would definitely use them again for other work. I had never met Darryl or heard of Dadstasks before searching Angie’s List....but am certainly glad I had them do our work. Oh, and by the way, did I mention how reasonably priced they are?
