"Ave's Lock And Key answered my Angi's evening request the next morning at around 9AM. Avery recommended rekeying for changing 4 door locks and deadbolts. He arranged for Justin to arrive at 10AM. He explained and showed me the rekeying process and completed the work in around 2 to 2 1/2 hours. I enjoyed seeing the process and learning that it was most effective for our needs rather than buying all new locks. Avery and Justin knew immediately our needs and performed them well. I thought they were both professional regarding their work and very pleasant to talk to. I would recommend them highly to others."

When I gave him the answers to the questions he immediately realized the scope of work I wanted done was smaller than what his company does. He was very polite, and I appreciated his honesty to let me know right away without trying to talk me into something bigger than we wanted to do. Even though he did not do the work for me I appreciate that he didn't waste my time with coming out to do an estimate or trying to talk me into something more than I really wanted. "I could not be more pleased with the services performed by Handyman Matters of Frederick. First, when I called in the woman who answered the phone (sorry, I am terrible with names) was very friendly and very helpful. We talked about what I wanted done, where I was located and how they estimated the work to be done and their pricing. She asked that I send her several pictures of the work to be done and they would estimate the same. This was on a Wednesday. They called on Thursday with an estimate, which I accepted and they came out to the do the work on a Friday. Very impressive. The professional who did the work was named Dave. What I really appreciated, was that Dave and I went over the work to be done and agreed on the same almost immediately. No trying to do more work then was necessary and over-pricing the job. I was given an estimate to do the job and Dave stayed within that pricing. The woman, that I talked to previously, advised that to purchase materials, the pricing would be no more than one hour of labor time charged and Dave was within that estimate as well. Dave did very nice work. He very much wanted to do a good job and make sure that I was happy with the final product. Dave replaced the material so that it exactly matched the retaining wall that was in place previously. Further, I had the coupon that was on the Angie's List site. When I was giving the owner (again, terrible with names, sorry) my credit card information, I mentioned the coupon and he accepted it no questions asked. He even mentioned it to Dave so that it was included when determining the final bill. Again, impressive. Note, the owner was very friendly and very personable. Very easy to deal with and came across as a regular guy. In the end, the work was done timely, exactly as they estimated and billed accordingly. In this day and age, it is not easy to find a vendor who charges a reasonable rate and does good and honest work. That is exactly what Handyman Matters of Frederick did for me."

"I signed the contract 10/23/19 with an expected pick up date by the end of the month. Heard on 10/30 that the transport had broken down and needed repairs. Talked to contact on 10/31 and reviewed alternative arrangements. Second transport option bailed out due to an emergency. Third option discussed. 11/05. I followed up and was told a driver was on the way. Pickup occurred 11/7 and delivery was 11/12. I paid extra for door to door service, but the transport could not navigate the residential streets, so pickup was in a mall parking lot. For the money paid, things could have gone more smoothly. Communication was okay, but given the starts and stops more wold have been better."
