"Mark arrived at my Piano Studio on time and did such a high-quality job. This is the only company of several I contacted, that had the skills and knowledge to actually both stretch and clean the carpet without me having to hire professional piano movers to move my full size grand piano out of the room while the work was being completed. The carpet looks brand new, like it was just installed today. Wonderful people who do an amazing job. Highly recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ~ Happy Customer"

"They were friendly, very informative and knowledgeable in carpet types and needs. James answered all of our questions and offered explanations as he worked. He and Nick were fast, yet thorough. Our carpets look amazing! They are now our permanent carpet cleaning service. Our search for the best is over."

"Dave and his installer are experienced professionals in their trade. They offer good value, quality installation, and excellent customer service. Communication was excellent as they kept me frequently informed via phone and text. Soon after the installation was complete, I noticed a small manufacturing defect in the carpet. Dave quickly coordinated to repair the problem. I'm satisfied overall and would recommend them to others."

"I have to say, it was a pleasure from start to finish, and the floors look wonderful! It's a duplex and years of bicycles in the living room had taken their toll; in addition, the upstairs flooring boards were thinner than normal and took careful, meticulous work to preserve them. If Sergey hadn't been able to finish them correctly at $4 per sf, I'd have had to lay down carpet, a much more expensive proposition. He sanded beautifully and laid down three coats of oil based finish (necessary for these 1925-era floors). He also installed a small section of new flooring in the kitchen nook, and you'd never know they aren't original.  <br /> He showed up when he said he would, collaborated on scheduling with the general contractor, cleaned up after himself, taped off all possible openings to keep dust out, and since it's a rental and money counts, he discounted the price $675 if I removed and re-installed the quarter round on the baseboard. The dustless system actually does reduce the dust quite well, although the oil-based finish was eye-watering for a couple of days. He cut me a deal on the hall closet (pine) which I had told him not to bother with but he did anyway.  <br />  Sergey takes great pride in his work and knows his business. I had two other bids: one was a superficial walk-thru for less money but the guy didn't even haul out his tape measure. The other was for $5.60 per sf (!) and he lectured me relentlessly about formaldehyde and environmental effects. So Sergey was reasonable if not the cheapest, and I am entirely satisfied with his work. He's a talker, but it's nice to work with someone who loves these old floors. <br />"

"DJ's Floors has done work for me before. Both experiences have been great. We rent part of our house and have had DJ's Floors install flooring in the rental space. They have been great with coordinating with our tenants and with us! The work was done very efficiently and better then expected! They repaired damaged subflooring that I wasn't aware needed to be repaired and installed quarter round moulding and stayed within my budget. The finished floors looked amazing! I know that when I hire DJ's Floors to do a job I can count on the job being done very well and within my budget. I recommend DJ's Floors to friends and I plan to continue using them for any other flooring projects we have. <br />"

"I asked for a quick and inexpensive clean to make our carpet presentable until new carpet is installed next month--and i needed it right away-- and they delivered just that. Called me back almost immediately, worked me in to their schedule quickly, good quality job, reasonable price, exactly what I asked for, nice to work with. Will call them again."

"The process was very smooth! I worked with Jon at Cascade Flooring who explained the entire process, was very patient and accessible when I had questions. The carpet came on time and the installers from Floor Masters were on time as well. The main installer Alexis was great at asking questions when he saw things were off. He used common sense for transitions into the bathrooms where it was obvious that those floors were going to be updated as well. When they left there was no evidence that they were ever there, except for the beautiful, well installed carpet that was left behind. I was very pleased all the way around!"

"It went very well. I will use them again. They are easy to work with. The estimator for carpeting is not the installer. I found there was a slight or minor issue in communication between the estimator and the installer. I think that I did communicate with them and just that they worked on that. They had a great team to do the work."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in La Center, WA

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
