"I am very happy with the replacement of my undercounter lighting in the kitchen. Jack the owner called me and came right out after our call to give me an estimate. He explained what the job entailed and listened to my choices for the lighting choices. He was very prompt with the estimate and answered all my questions. The work was completed after all the parts were in which took a few days. The electrician was very nice and did an excellent job. Took the time to explain and show me everything. He even cleaned up the counters after he completed the job. I totally recommend JVec for any electrical needs. I am going to use him again as I have another small job that needs to be completed. Keep up the great work. "

"Will performed a great job and was patient with my questions on installing the TESLA Level 2 Home Charger. Stayed until my project was good to go. Fair prices, hire him, look no further."

"No response from business. I had to follow up and only then did I get a quick email asking me to contact them if I'm still interested. I tried, again, no response. I'm no longer interested!"

Small jobs welcome

"Our house was in need of a new Electrical panel. After their initial visit, WCC provided me with the best quote: most decent and affordable price and most detailed contract. The job was done as planned and well done as agreed. Not only did was their service excellent, but Tommy, Sean & Marisol were and are very personable people: no BS, real pros from beginning to end! This update was important and concerning to us. WCC handled it effectively. Zero stress! I highly recommend them."

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in La Palma, CA

There are several telltale signs that your home is due for an electrical upgrade. You may need to rewire your house if your lights are constantly flickering or your circuit breaker keeps tripping. If you feel mild electric shocks when you touch light switches, hear buzzing sounds, or notice burning smells, you may need to rewire your house, too. Discolored or burnt-looking switches and faceplates are another crucial warning sign.

Properly installed copper wiring in a residential property can last as long as 50 to 100 years in some cases, but many homes over 30 years old are due for an upgrade. That’s the timeline that many experts recommend, even if it is only a partial update to accommodate technological advancements, increased power demands, and changing safety requirements.

At $3 to $5 per square foot, the cost to wire a 2,000-square-foot house ranges from $6,000 to $10,000, on average. This can depend on many factors, like the age and complexity of the house and how easy it is for contractors to access the areas they need to get the job done. Opening and repairing walls can further add to your total cost.
