"I dealt with Dave?s Fence for my backyard fence, and unfortunately, it was a very frustrating experience. I provided my credit card details for the agreed cost of the fence. While reviewing my bank statements, I discovered that I had been overcharged by $2,347, nearly 50% more than the agreed price, through multiple charges made in September, November, and December. Since December 22, I have contacted the company multiple times requesting a refund of the overcharged amount. Each time, I received the same responses: this week, after the holidays, tomorrow, Monday, and now another five business days. Despite repeated promises, the refund has still not been processed. What is most concerning is how efficient the company was at collecting payment, yet how slow and unresponsive they have been in correcting a clear billing error. If I had not carefully reviewed my bank statements, this overcharge likely would never have been identified or addressed. This experience reflects poor billing "

"I did my research and was quite confident this was the company I wanted to go with before even requesting a quote. Kip (owner) has written a lot of great posts on their site about what makes a great fence here in Florida and I recommend checking that out as you will understand just how knowledgeable he is. After scheduling the quote, I was stoked when Kip (owner) came out as he was training a newer employee. They were here for 1.5 hours and explained everything and showed me pictures of different fence designs until I found the one that I wanted. There was a spot where I had to step down from 6ft to 4ft, and Kip provided his recommendation based on location and a style that would best fit the contours of my house. And the end result shows that he was absolutely right! It’s these little details that make a huge difference when you are making a significant investment and rely on the company’s expertise to ensure it is going to look great. I had a partial fence install several years ago and this did not happen – there was no communication and it served its purpose, but I was never happy with how it looked (or the location they decided to place it). They went with what was easiest, not what would make the client happy and look best. It took a while to schedule the old fence removal, and new fence install, but the weather has been crazy here and Kip told me upfront that this could potentially add a delay. I was totally fine with this so I was prepared to be patient. And the communication was great at this point. I did reach out once for an update via email and received an immediate response. I feel this is very important – I’m good with waiting, as long as I’m able to get an update in a timely manner, and to me, this shows a great business with great employees. The fence removal was done in 1 day, and it took about 4 days to complete the full fence install and I couldn't be happier. I have had so many neighbors comment on how great it looks which is always nice to hear. I replaced a large portion of old fencing, but the portion the neighbors can see is brand new and you always worry they will not like a fence extending up the side of the house near the road -- but, it looks so good, no chance anyone was going to complain ?. I'm sure there are other companies that can offer a cheaper price, but you get what you pay for. This is a solid fence that was built perfectly, and the person on-site was in constant communication and conferred with me on all decisions made based on my yard and what would work best. Again, check their site, but the installation of the posts uses a tar/wrap that is similar to how they install telephone poles so you know that it is going to last a long time. The previous fence posts were done with concrete and it was embarrassing how easily the fence could be pulled down. I plan to live in this house for a long time, but even if I do sell, I know this beautiful fence is only going to help the resale value."

Exceptional,I would recommend this company with a A+++++.I had several companies come and give me quotes.When the Pelican representative came I could tell by his presentation ,he new his stuff.After further quotes from other companies I selected them.And I am so happy I did select them .They did a great job installing and making sure my fence looked great by being level on top and as close to the ground as possible.Sometimes that can be tricky if the ground is not level.The installer knew my concerns about the fence being level at the top and the bottom.And you know what, he met the challenge head on and conquered it.They also accommodated my timeline for installation. After the fence was installed a representative came to my house a day later.He stated he was their to check the fence and to see if I had any questions or concerns.I thanked him for the great job and such a pleasant experience.So the process of getting a fence installed by this company was truly a pleasant experience.Thank you PELICAN!!!!!!!!"
