"AC Tech Aaron was highly knowledgeable, amicable and was able to solve an issue that previously caused ARS to replace a newly installed HVC system with another new system, however, Aaron was the one to solve the ongoing issue I had with both current and previous systems. The issue was, the AC simply was not efficient enough to cool my house, reason, the air filters were severely clogged. Solution: Aaron applied a commercial degreaser, then washed both filters, this dissolved an accumulation of over 10 years worth of gunk and soot like dirt. Thanks to Aaron, my AC now is finally running to its full capacity without compromising its efficiency or causing it to overheat or worse, break down. I would recommend ARS to at a minimum inspect and equally clean all AC filters as that would go a long way towards resulting in a far better AC/HVC performance with better efficiency. We have a floor drain that water comes up out of when there is a clog somewhere, and it goes all over the floor.
I have had many plumbers looking at the same problem as long as I have owned this house, they were never really sure what the problem was. The clog seems to be fixed when they leave, but slowly comes back. Roger tried snaking the pipes in the usual place, but it didn't seem to work. So, he asked if he could cut a pipe and try it from there. After a few tries, he got the clog, and told us how we could take care of it if it happened again. Which should be much easier to take care of, since we know where the problem area is.  If I ever need another plumber, I know who to call!

"On Friday morning at 9am, I got a call from the tenant in my rental in downtown Fredericksburg that her upstairs toilet wasn't working. She'd tried plunging it, but without success. She said her house was starting to stink and asked for us to get someone over their immediately. I checked Angie's list for a vendor with an A rating and found Davis Plumbing and Heating. I called and by 10am, Sean met me at the door to my rental property. WITHIN AN HOUR. When I remarked at how amazed I was at their response time, Sean said they try to come as soon as possible and of course, sometimes if they have appointments scheduled, it takes longer - but he was glad to be able to come as soon as he could. He told me theirs was a family owned business and I really liked that. He told me I talked to his Grandma, Pat, when I called to make the appointment.
Within in seconds, he snaked all the way down our pipes to the mainline and pulled up wads of wipes. Sure enough, their on the back of our toilet, was a container of wipes that our tenant had been flushing. Sean said they respond to a lot of backed up toilets for wipes. He made sure to get them all and tested our toilet with regular toilet tissue several times to make sure it was working. He cleaned up all drops of water and any mess and left the bathroom as clean as he found it.
For years, we've used a hodge podge of plumbers for our rental property (and our own house) - we'll be sure to call Davis from now on!

"I called Rescue1 based on Angie's List reviews and was not disappointed.  Il left the repair cost box blank because everyone's needs will vary, based on the job, complications, etc.  I did call two other plumbers for estimates, and Larry's estimate was extremely competitive.  Larry listened to my description of the small rust marks around and on my water heater, and agreed that it probably needed to be replaced.  I'm happy that he is tech-savvy -- the night before the repair, I thought I had a major problem, and texted him with the question.  He responded ASAP to my question -- problem solved!  He and his assistant showed up on time, used the little booties religiously, and got right to work.  He was attentive to my concerns about the placement of the drain pan and heater itself.  He even made a proactive fix to a drain pipe because he didn't like its potential for leaking. Larry answered all my questions, educated me about how to keep the water heater running well, and had a great can-do attitude.  I will definitely use Recsue1 for my future plumbing/gas work.
