"I met with several landscaping companies prior to moving forward.  I chose highland not because they were the cheapest or the largest but because I felt comfortable with the plan/design and I felt like Lee (owner) was being as honest and transparent as possible.  Once we agreed to move forward, Lee was on-site every single day getting his hands dirty and overseeing the project. Overall, this whole thing took over a month but it was well worth it.  Lee took care of all the permitting for the deck, shopping for the materials and managing the project.  He and Manuel (primary laborer) were on-time every single day -- no kidding.  Once the deck and walkway was complete, we met Lee at Devil Mountain nursery to pick out plants and shrubs -- it was really a great experience.  I was really impressed with all the great suggestions we received over the life of the project.  Things like using a solar timed sprinkler system which adapts to the changing sunrise and sunset timing over the course of a year.  Budget-wise, Lee was extremely tight to the budget.  In fact -- I think he as 100% on time and on-budget.  There was a few additional items I asked him to do and he just charged time and materials.  Honestly, I don't think he charged me for all his time because I was expecting the bill to be much larger.  Overall, I can't give a higher recommendation to Highland Landscaping.  If you are looking for quality work with a trustworthy, personable and skilled landscaper then call Highland."

"Steve was incredibly responsive to my phone calls. He stopped by right away after my initial phone call to look over my list and give me a quote. His crew was on time and very clean. They protected my carpets when they were working and were careful to pick up after themselves. They were courteous and friendly and kind to my children. When I was concerned about the mirror they hung, Steve came by later to look it over and had his crew out the next day to fix it. The work was done well and everyone was prompt. What they weren't able to help with, Steve gave me phone numbers for people who could help (ie. Our fireplace was broken. Steve took a look at it, but felt that a regular fireplace fix it guy would be better to handle the repair so he gave me the name of someone he recommended.). I would and will use Steve and his crew again!"

"Feliciano did an outstanding job on our home improvement projects! I could not be more pleased!! Feliciano is not only a credit to his profession, he is an extremely humble and professional individual. He carefully listens and assesses your request(s) and offers sound recommendations and input. For example, the steps on our staircase were very badly worn and the wrought iron railing was extremely faded. Feliciano sanded, and stained the stairs with a beautiful finish! And … sanded, repainted the black wrought iron railing! And … installed a wooden black hand rail on the opposite wall! I am beyond thrilled with the final results! Installation of the vinyl flooring in the main living area, kitchen and 1/2 bathroom was a challenge due to uneven foundations. Feliciano was able to use some leveling compound to correct this problem. Our floors look wonderful! He and his team were on time, hard working, accommodating, respectful of our family, our schedules, our home and property and always cleaned up before leaving for the day. "My initial interest was in the deal that cost $125 to paint one room in one day. When the owner came to my house to evaluate the room I asked him how much extra it would cost to paint a fence an exterior fence that was probably 4 to 5 feet long (one side only) and a gate that went from my driveway to my backyard (both sides).. He said he had another deal that I could take advantage of which would be $450 for one day with with two painters and I would have to provide the supplies. I agree to this. He indicated I would need 2 gallons of paint for the bedroom and 2 gallons of paint for the fence. I would also need to get some tape and plastic. I would also need to move all the furniture in the room to to make space for easy access for the painters. I complied with all his requests. The painters showed up on time very polite and the work they did was excellent. However I was told that I needed to get another gallon of paint for the fence which I did. They did not finish the fence that day. The Second gallon of paint that was requested for the bedroom was not even used. The owner was there at the end of the day and I gave him a check for $450. I can't remember whether I was told for I assumed that a little bit more money would be required to send the painters back to complete the job .One painter was sent back the next day. Again I needed to go back and get yet another gallon of paint. The painting was finished and in approximately a half a days time. When I asked how much more money was needed I was told $450. I was outraged. I spoke to the owner and expressed my rage but he told me that he needed to cover his costs and since this was such a great deal that this was the amount. I express my views that I didn't think this is right but tbut he told me again that this is what he needed to cover his costs. At the end of our conversation he said I could pay whatever I want.But I paid the 450 because I'm an honest person. However I will NEVER and this is an capital letters never use them again. I felt like I was taken advantage of. What I assumed was going to be a $450 job plus the paint turned out to be a $1500 job. It was not the $1500 job. Again I would like to express that his workers were very professional they did a great job and I couldn't of asked for more in that respect
