"Russ was a pleasure to work with, and he did an amazing job on the extensive wood flooring throughout my home. Russ was the most responsive of the flooring specialists whom I contacted, and incorporated our wishes into a proposal quickly and without trying to push us to sand areas that really just needed a buff. The timing of our project was sensitive, as we wanted to refinish the floors in between our renters's departure from our property and our subsequent move-in, and he was able to make this happen for us. The situation turned out to be far trickier than expected when our air-conditioning system completely died and it was humid, 90-degree week; Russ and his team were undeterred, and completed the sanding despite the hot conditions in the house. The staining work could not be completed until the house could be cooled/dehumidified, and Russ completely re-arranged his work schedule to push back this second phase of the project by a week to accommodate the installation of the new HVAC. Despite the delays and issues beyond his control, Russ finished the project on time (ie before the movers were slated to arrive). The floors look beautiful; the large job was a combination of sanding/staining/coating two different types of wood, as well as buffing/coating in other areas, and all of it turned out magnificently. Russ is also trustworthy; I gave him the key to the home and was not even in the country for part of the time, and he took good care of the home. I would highly recommend RJM Flooring to anyone looking to have work done on their wood floors."

"Julio and his team sanded and refinished about 2,000 sf. of 100-year-old hardwood in our home, as well as adding new flooring to match the old where we had made some changes to the structure. This included some fine detail work. They were fantastic! The crew was punctual, came with a great attitude, and did very clean work. When another contractor drilled a bunch of unnecessary holes in our floors, his crew replaced the boards with matching wood for a reasonable price and it looks good as new. Julio was good at explaining the process and keeping communication open throughout. His recommendations were good, he understood what we were going for and we are very happy with the finished result. I wish every contractor was this professional!"

"Victor (Hung) has an excellent knowledge of his business, his craft. Itâ s a family business which he took over from his father. I watched Hung and his workers do the refinishing. They make it look easy. They know what theyâ re doing. The final product was excellent. I was given a good price for the work that was done. Hung is easy to work with and reliable. "Overall happy with the result, they do good quality work and very professional. The only caveats are 1) one needs some patience to get on schedule as they are small business and get very busy sometimes. This is expected and I'd rather deal with the same person and wait rather than many middlemen in a large business. 2) custom work and color matching is complicated and I was expecting a bit more guidance and oversight when it came to color matching. Stairs wood came from different company which was supposed to custom match color to what we had installed on flat surface ( standard bruce hardwood) they did match it on small sample fairly well to test and approve but when the actual product came to be installed, there were noticeable differences in undertone: bruce hardwood had some distinct red undertone and stairs wood had none. I understand that texture and grain of wood is out of control -stairs and planks are made of different wood with different grains, but the color of the stain is totally in their control and that part did not come out great. That's where I expected professionals to help more: customers do not have experience with custom colors usually."

"Service never took place. Job entailed ceramic tile back splash, shelf, and window sill in kitchen. Company rep came out and measured, asked us to visit sales showroom to select tile. We did so. Travel time was 50 minutes each way. When we arrived at the showroom we learned that the company specialized in flooring and counter tops, and had a very limited ceramic tile selection. The reps at the showroom suggested that we select a tile from another dealer, and said that they would give us a price for installation only. We then visited another showroom and picked a tile from a large selection. We then received a call from the original rep, the one who had come to the house, stating that the company could not do the job and to request a refund from you. I asked the rep to notify you that we would be asking for a refund, which he agreed to do and later confirmed that he did."

"Sam was very responsive and able to schedule, then re-schedule, us with rather short notice. As stated by many others, his customer communications are outstanding. His price for the job was surprisingly lower than many of the other flooring companies. Our job was small (1st floor and 1 set of stairs in a rowhouse) so I think some of the bigger flooring guys didn't want to invest their time unless it was financially worth it. Nothing wrong with that; we met some great flooring experts along the way. But in the end, we couldn't afford to spend $3500 for this size of job. I'll be honest, I was a little nervous about hiring the more affordable contractor, but Sam and his workers came so highly recommended, we took the risk. We're so glad we did! They showed up right on time, with all kinds of modern sanding and dust removal / air cleaning equipment. They spent the first 30-60 minutes taping up plastic sheets for dust control throughout the house. The first day consisted of sanding the floor and stairs to remove old finish and uneven spots, and filling gaps or holes (some we pointed out, some Sam found on his own and took care of). Next was lots of air cleaning and vacuuming before putting down the wood sealer. When that was dry, it was buffed out, vacuumed again, and then coated with the first of two layers of top coat. On the second day, they returned in the morning and buffed/vacuumed again in preparation for applying the final finish coat. By lunch time, everything was done and we could (but didn't) walk on it. The job site was all cleaned up and they were gone. That's it! The floor looks beautiful with an even, soft glow, but with the grain and feel of the real wood still intact. We spec'd a satin-finish water-based polyurethane for our top coats. I've seen a number of friends' poorly refinished wood floors and many have missed corners or that thing where so much wood is removed, there a slope down from the baseboards to the center of the room. Not so with Sam and his workers; you can tell they know how to do this right and are real experienced professionals. We'll be hiring them back to do the other two floors in our house soon! Highly recommended."
