"The repair and cleaning was completed in a timely fashion. Since, we ordered the covers ourselves, he return on another day to do the installation. Company was very accommodating and communication via email or phone was reliable. We are very pleased with the work and will be using him again. Addition: Jim returned to install the two gutter covers as promised on Saturday, 10/17/20. We were waiting for the wasps to leave their nest before installing the last two covers. Job paid in full previously, so no charge for this."

"The process was absolutely painless and I would recommend Rizzo Fence to anyone. Mr Rizzo was awesome to work with and the results far exceeded our expectations. I used Angie's List to get a list of potential fence companies and picked Rizzo Fencing based on the very positive prior customer reviews. We called Rizzo Fence Company and immediately got a great feeling talking to Mrs. Rizzo. Mr Rizzo came out to the house, gave us an estimate and was able to start once we got the permit approved. The fence turned out beautifully. Our yard is uneven, so the fence ended up having to be built onsite because the pickets were all different lengths. All in all we were very pleased with the workmanship and professionalism of the Rizzo Fence team. <br />"

"We had a great experience with Eric and his team. I contacted him on a Saturday. He arrived at my home on Monday and I had an estimate on Tuesday. I had contacted two other contractors I found on AL and ultimately choose to go with Able Hands. I like what Eric had to say in terms of his plan for executing on what I needed done and was comfortable with the price. Looking at my list or repairs, it may seem that this was a simple job. I can assure you it was not. The simple list of repairs doesn't tell the whole story. The sills on the sun porches are 3 windows wide. They had been damaged by years of neglect from a large pine tree that caused a gutter overflow (previous owner). The railings were a few inches from where the should have been due to settling. My home is 100+ years old to give you an idea of what we were dealing with. Eric booked a whole week to work on my home. He arrived when he said he would, and he finished on time. He and his team are polite, considerate and work hard. They do a great job. They took their time, paid attention and didn't rush anything. What impressed me most was the fact that they all really thought about the work they were doing. Eric made custom supports for the railings on my 100+ year old home that looked like they have been there since it was build. He came to us with an idea for the the color scheme on the exterior trim of our home and we loved it. It really makes the work pop and added a nice touch. Small details on the home were painted even though we hadn't explicitly discussed it and it made a big difference. The job site was cleaned up and closed up every day (especially important with small kids at home). His price never changed. My wife and I are very happy with the project as a whole and will be using Eric and his team in the future. I highly recommend Able Hands, Inc. <br />"

"<p>Action Fence installed our fence in a single day, which was incredible. It looks great, and we've gotten a lot of compliments on it. However we asked them not to put it on the property line, and to NOT box in two small electrical boxes at the corners of our property. We told them on the phone, we told them in email, and we told them in person. Since we had had a pre-installation consultation with them, we did not feel the need to be home during the construction. When we got home, we realized not only had they put the fence on the property line, both of the electrical boxes were inside the fence. When we talked to them about it, they directed us to a manager and said we would have to pay extra to get it fixed. We forwarded our email stating our requests, and the manager got back to us right away and said they would fix it, at no additional charge. But they left the fence on the property line and just chipped in the two corners, so that the electrical boxes are now on the outside. Overall, we don't mind that the fence is on the property line, or that the corners come in, but it was frustrating that we had communicated 3 times what we wanted and we still didn't get what we asked for. However they fixed it, at no additional charge, and the fence really does look great. I would recommend Action, but be clear on what you want and maybe plan on being home so that you can make sure the posts are going in where you expect them.</p>"

"For years I had tried to move an underground downspout as it ran over a tree root and didn't drain well. Vitucci Landscaping dug up the downspout and redirected it. They also replaced some landscaping cloth and laid down quite a bit of mulch. If I had purchased the mulch myself, it would have cost me nearly the same as they charged me. Did a great job and kept me informed as to their arrival. Yard looks great! <br />"

"Bill from the invisible fence was polite, and on time. He adjusted the additional collar for my dog. In the past have had them their to install the fence, and to also adjust the collar response. All went well When ever I have a problem, I just call Sarah, and my call is returned, and the collar is replaced, or the repair to the fence is done in a timely manner. Would highly recommend this provider. With the proper training, your dog will stay in the yard. A great relief, that they will be in the yard when I return. <br /> <br />"

"The roofing repair went well, and then I asked Mr. Evans to come to another city where I owned another home that we were remodeling and needed to sell soon. We needed some electrical ,and plumbing work done . I asked if he was licensed to do that. He replied that " he was". I inquired about city permits, and was told that "I did NOT need any- as this was a minor repair, not a complete rewiring job". Having dealt with the city before, I KNEW that was not right, as permits ARE required for ALL work done by contractors in the city. I then asked him if he was registered with our state. He replied that he was. I checked online, and found nothing under the company name of American Contracting. I DID find his name under another company name- J.E. Improvements. However, this registration did NOT list electrical, or plumbing. When I told him what I had learned- he said that he would simply call the state and ask them to add the two categories to his listing ! I was amazed that they would do such a thing over the phone, and called them myself. I was told that "anyone who is registered can call and add anything without submitting any proof of additional licenses". They told me I needed to check with my local city for licensing. I called the Scranton office of licensing and permits, and was told that " Mr. Evans is NOT licensed as either a plumber or electrican in Scranton". He had also told me that he installs and maintains furnaces and heating systems. He is not licensed to do that either in Scranton. He CAN do roofing and siding as that only requires a contractor to pull a permit, and he can get one since he is already registered with the state of PA. There were a couple other things that bothered me. First, he kept saying that he "preferred to be left alone when he worked" and that "we could just leave a key to the house and did not need to be there while the work was being done". Also, I had asked for estimates on painting and a new roof and possibly siding and was told that he "did not write estimates until the customer agreed verbally to a price, because it was a waste of time because some people didn't call him back". Upon checking, I found that he registered his company name as J.E. Improvements with the state on 7/23/2009, yet he did a job for someone on Angie's list in SEPT. 2009 under the name American Contracting. Under Pa. law , doing jobs under two or more company names MUST be reported to the state. I asked the state if they had any listing for American Contracting- they said "NO". Bottom line is this : Mr. Evans is a nice man, did a good job on our roof repair, but if you want him to work in Scranton, be aware that he is NOT licensed for electrical, plumbing or heating, and can NOT pull permits for that work. He CAN do roofing, siding and painting as I am told. permits can be obtained for those jobs as long as he can show his PA registration card and current insurance of $50,000 or more."
