"I was drawn to this company because of the fantastic job they did on the balconies next door to my house. I saw their truck which advertised they also did concrete work. After speaking with Tom, I hired them to pour a new sidewalk and steps and level another set of steps. They had great suggestions for leveling the existing steps and did a great job of setting expectations and pouring me a new set of steps and front sidewalk. Price was comparable with other vendors. It looks great! My neighbors have said the same!"

Small jobs welcome

"Response to request for estimate was quick and work began the day after signed contract. The new retaining wall and paver patio are beautiful allowing us to use the backyard for entertaining. They leveled an area for an above ground pool and sodded the front yard. They did an excellent job, very professional and courteous. I would highly recommend their service."

"Jeff Sawyer started the project days earlier than expected . Very happy with the time spent having materials delivered and quality workmanship..His company has done a fantastic job and made our place look so much better plus has improved our road beyond what we expected. We have previously spent hundreds of dollars trying to make it driveable. He knew exactly what to do to fix the run off and solve our water issues. He is coming back to do landscaping for us. His years of experience are very evident. He is very easy to work with and very professional! I will call Mr. Sawyer anytime I need anything done. He takes his work very personally."

"Nick and Kyle did a great job of getting the problem resolved. While there were limited on how far they could move the concrete slabs without causing additional tripping hazards, they did a great great job of resolving the issue. Multiple time they requested my input on when to stop and explained the issues if they did something different. I was very satisfied with the results and the professionalism of Nick and Kyle. they did a great job of cleaning up when they were completed."

FAQs for concrete patios, walks & steps installation projects in Lake Ozark, MO

Most sidewalks rely on a ready‑mix blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and water that trucks deliver to your site and pour in one continuous lift. For added strength, many contractors fold in fiber mesh or steel reinforcement. This mix cures into a rock‑solid slab that stands up to foot traffic, freeze‑thaw cycles, and daily wear for decades. Expect a pro to recommend a 4‑inch‑thick pour for standard walkways.

With the right mix, proper drainage, and routine upkeep, a concrete sidewalk can last 25 to 50 years. Freeze‑thaw cycles, road salt, and heavy loads all shorten that timeline, but sealing every few years and patching small cracks early keeps damage in check. Think of sealing as inexpensive insurance for decades of safe, stable footing. In milder climates, some slabs push well past the 30‑year mark without major repairs.

Concrete sidewalks crack as a result of significant temperature fluctuations and heavy load pressures. The freeze-thaw cycles and sustained weight from vehicles or intense foot traffic force the concrete to develop cracks over time. Applying a premium sealant every two to three years and substituting salt with sand for de-icing minimizes crack formation. Regular maintenance and timely repairs safeguard the sidewalk’s structural integrity and extend its service life.
