"DO NOT support this business, nor recommend their services! I ecently entrusted this business to clean my gutters. During the cleaning I was approached by one of their employees who indicated that a concrete resurfacing and sealing was needed underneath one of my gutter spouts. Due to the fact that I (like many of you) believed in their reviews, I had no reason to distrust this representative of the company. The employee (Cristobal Flores) quoted me a total price of $1600 for the job. To my dismay, this guy never completed the job, and I have not heard back after making NUMEROUS attempts at retrieving my money back. The owner has acknowledge this fraudulent act, and refuses to make this situation right. He denies that Flores works for his company, but admits he was "helping out" that day. Sounds like an employee to me! This business does not back their customers. Instead, allows their employees to side-hustle the customers, and we are left out to dry with no concerns of this victimization. More time is actually spent attempting to reverse negative reviews, when it seems that they are extremely warranted. BEWARE!"

"Moved into a new house, discovered some evidence of mice. Schopen came to the rescue! Setting an appointment was easy, the tech arrived on time, was friendly. He did a visual inspection inside and outside of the house and patched possible entrances around the foundation. He set traps and bait stations and then came back for a maintenance check. No major evidence of intrusion--the holes they filled outside worked! I am keeping them on for maintenance and adding a spider and bugs b/c they give a single fee for maintenance on both--which is a great deal. They also have an account portal on their website so clients can track spending, notes, and appointments. One national brand came and tried to upsell me--saying that I needed them to install a barrier around my house because of some issue with my siding ($2000!) and the cost of their annual service was double Schopen. I highly recommend skipping the big-name brands and going with this family-owned business."

"The original installers of my new microwave claimed that my model was ok to vent internally and that it would cause not problems... 6 months later I have a grease stain on my ceiling. So I chose Budget Right based on the other reviews on the Angie's List. The office help was .. so so. I initially set an appointment with a just in case follow up date, I called to let them know that my I had to reschedule which was fine but they did not reschedule the follow up appointment.. The poor guy came out on a Monday morning(Chicago to Milwaukee) and we had to send him away. Saturday, March 24th and the handyman returned. Mario C. - This guy was excellent. Took my microwave down analyzed the situation and made the fix, in a cost effective time efficient manner. He could have made all types of holes, pulled apart my wall, and cost me a bunch more money but he figured it out. So much so that he completed the job, I called him for in 45 min. When that was done I had a dryer vent that I bought a replacement for and he fixed that too in 5min!!! Can't say enough about the guy, so I gave him a $10 tip on the $69.00 service. I am guaranteed to call on him again because we have bunch of jobs he can help us with. I am IMPRESSED. On the flip side.. I don't think I got the discount on my service for being an Angies list member. Blaming the office not him. All in all tho great work."
