"We have had them do several jobs over the years from building a deck, to installing doors, outdoor lights and exterior painting. We have been extremely happy with anything they have worked on. We will be calling them for more projects in the future. We highly recommend them."

"Handy Men & Mrs Helper made our dreams come true with a new master bathroom and master bedroom. They helped us design and build a new master suite. They built us a steam shower and installed a beautiful claw footed tub. Their team was professional and answered any questions we had during the process. They kept us updated on time frame throughout the process. We will continue to use them for projects at our house."

"Frank was very professional. We had a few smaller projects that needed addressing. He installed a new doorknob for us, & also also a couple of screen covers for our exhaust & dryer vents. I was very pleased with his work & experience. I will definitely contact him again for future projects!"

"Technicians were very professional and did a great job framing a new wall with dimmer switch and installing the drywall. They also found that the existing wiring was incorrect and replaced it so it's up to code. There was a little confusion regarding computation of man hours and we ended up going way over budget so just confirm estimated total project cost."

FAQs for handyman service projects in Lake In The Hills, IL

Winterizing shields your home’s structure and key systems from snow, ice, and freezing temperatures. By sealing drafts and tuning up heaters, you cut energy waste, extend the life of appliances and windows, and avoid surprise repair bills. A small up-front investment keeps rooms cozy and protects the value of your biggest asset all winter long.

Yes, it’s important to prepare your sprinkler system for the winter. Blowing out the lines and insulating above-ground parts keeps valves and pipes from splitting when temperatures drop. A quick winterization visit costs far less than repairing burst components in spring, and it ensures your lawn--and your wallet--stay in good shape once the thaw hits.

A full home winterization plan goes beyond sealing windows and pipes. You might schedule a home energy audit, cover outdoor furniture, service the snowblower, swap smoke-detector batteries, add outlet gaskets, and hang storm doors. Each step beefs up your home’s protection, cuts drafts, and lowers the chance of costly cold-weather damage.
