"Jared and his guys showed up on time and listened to my requests and gave me sound suggestions on how to proceed on my project with efficiency and cost effectiveness. I was impressed with the speed, cleanliness and overall look of the work they did. I have other projects I will soon be undertaking and TSG will most definitely be the first company I call"

Customers say: Terrific value

"Dustin and his wife were such nice people. He called me immediately after I put in the request and gave me a quote. We set the date for him to come look a the site. He was great with communicating with me every step of the way. Even double checked that I was happy with the size of the patio and whether a end needed to be softened. I had to call him back when he was still down the street because the dog had already (accidentally) gotten on it and he came right back and fixed it! Life saver! I highly recommend Firebird!"

Small jobs welcome

"Response to request for estimate was quick and work began the day after signed contract. The new retaining wall and paver patio are beautiful allowing us to use the backyard for entertaining. They leveled an area for an above ground pool and sodded the front yard. They did an excellent job, very professional and courteous. I would highly recommend their service."

"Outdoor Oasis is absolutely outstanding! They installed a beautiful 20 x 40 inground pool with four waterfalls and also did the stamp concrete around. Jason the owner is always available for a phone call or questions I had in the beginning and never seemed like I was bothering him with silly questions ! The crew was very professional. They turned my backyard into an outdoor oasis. I can’t thank them enough."

"Jeff Sawyer started the project days earlier than expected . Very happy with the time spent having materials delivered and quality workmanship..His company has done a fantastic job and made our place look so much better plus has improved our road beyond what we expected. We have previously spent hundreds of dollars trying to make it driveable. He knew exactly what to do to fix the run off and solve our water issues. He is coming back to do landscaping for us. His years of experience are very evident. He is very easy to work with and very professional! I will call Mr. Sawyer anytime I need anything done. He takes his work very personally."

"Great! I wanted to wait for multiple rains before writing review and everything has been sealed. The team was very knowledgeable, friendly and provided excellent work. If I have further issues in cracks later on will for sure be giving them a call."

"We called him and he came and explained what equipment they would be using and what it would cost us, and answered all the questions I had. It all worked out great. His price was under the estimate he gave us originally. They were there within a few days of me approving the estimate. From what I saw, he was very professional. We would recommend him to others and will use him in the future because they do other things also."

FAQs for concrete patios, walks & steps installation projects in Lake Ozark, MO

Most sidewalks rely on a ready‑mix blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and water that trucks deliver to your site and pour in one continuous lift. For added strength, many contractors fold in fiber mesh or steel reinforcement. This mix cures into a rock‑solid slab that stands up to foot traffic, freeze‑thaw cycles, and daily wear for decades. Expect a pro to recommend a 4‑inch‑thick pour for standard walkways.

With the right mix, proper drainage, and routine upkeep, a concrete sidewalk can last 25 to 50 years. Freeze‑thaw cycles, road salt, and heavy loads all shorten that timeline, but sealing every few years and patching small cracks early keeps damage in check. Think of sealing as inexpensive insurance for decades of safe, stable footing. In milder climates, some slabs push well past the 30‑year mark without major repairs.

Concrete sidewalks crack as a result of significant temperature fluctuations and heavy load pressures. The freeze-thaw cycles and sustained weight from vehicles or intense foot traffic force the concrete to develop cracks over time. Applying a premium sealant every two to three years and substituting salt with sand for de-icing minimizes crack formation. Regular maintenance and timely repairs safeguard the sidewalk’s structural integrity and extend its service life.
