"I am a 68-year-old homeowner, former pastor and now chaplain with Snohomish County Fire department, who is very meticulous in just about everything I do. When deciding to replace the present asphalt with concreate, I went to home advisor and picked the top 4 companies listed to give me estimates. Of the four companies, Joe Rothwell of Pioneer Concrete and Masonry gave me the best competitive bid. They started construction just prior to the governor shutting down construction due to COVID-19, which meant a lengthy period of not driving out of the garage, which was fine since we were not going out anyway. When construction began again, they were johnny on the spot, and the driveway turned out better then we even imagined! The crew working was so polite and respectful, and when they finished, everything was returned to where it belonged, and you could not even find a gum wrapper left behind! To make things even sweeter for us, I have a neighbor who had an asphalt driveway 1/3rd the size of my driveway replaced with asphalt and paid more than I did. I highly recommend Pioneer Concrete and Masonry, and if you do not get a bid from Joe, you are making a mistake!"

A couple small issues: communication was challenging at times because it was hard to know when the crew was going to actually arrive at our house to work, and they mistakenly dug up the wrong part of our lawn due to a miscommunication; quality-wise, a thin crack appeared on part of the concrete patio after a few months. They are friendly and competitively priced."

"Derek and his crew removed and installed a new asphalt apron for me. It was 50 years old and had tree roots running through it. When he came to do the estimate we talked about what would be needed, and we were both in agreement with what needed to be done. His pricing was great. On the day of the work he was right on time and began working. Everything was completed in a few hours and it looked perfect. He made sure the area was cleaned up before he left. "We had about 750 sf of concrete removed and new reinforced colored concrete put in. Kenet and his crew were great to work with. They were very timely and responsive and they paid attention to the details. It was the small things too, like protecting the street when the cement mixer truck was unloading or how they cleaned up the job site at the end of the day. They even went down in front of our neighbors houses to blow out the demo dust."

"Joseph and his crew were delightful and professional to work with. I wanted a stamped concrete driveway and Joseph took time to throughly explained to me the color and seal options. They came in leveled and graded my drive hauled away some dirt and broken concrete set the forms and finished the site prep all in one day They returned a day later poured and finished my 73 foot long 15 foot wide driveway on one day. They returned a day later to clean up, remove forms and apply the sealer. Upon their departure they left behind nothing but a beautiful Roman slate textured driveway! In the end I could not be happier! My driveway looks great and literally sparkles as if it was natural slate! Just as Joseph promised! You won't be disappointed!"

"They almost finished but I made the mistake of paying when they were almost done. They didn't show up to remove the last of the plywood forms for the retaining wall. I called at least 4 times and requested that Nelson, the owner of the Co. to send someone to complete the job. He told me 4 times ok and gave me a day when they would come to do that. All 4 times no one showed up. And no one called to say they wouldn't be there. I feel that Nelson was playing with me but do not understand why? I paid in full. $12,000 + tax. Also, he requested I make the check out to his name. I don't know if that is legal to do or not. But I did it."
