"My home is in Melbourne. The salesperson was great but when it came to installation the communication was poor. My appointment was confirmed multiple times. Waited all day for them to to arrive. When I called they said the installer would call me. By 3 pm, when I called again, on hold 10 minutes, then told there was a note on my file that the floor hadn't come in. I was furious! I guess I should have cancelled. I hired Empire because I was told they had their own installers and did not contract out. They sent only 1 person. Good thing we cleared the bedroom of all furniture before he arrived. He was a lovely young man but could barely speak English. When I had to tell him that one of the floor tiles was defective we needed a translator. Also, and this is just my opinion since I installed my own floor in another room years ago, I don't think he was very experienced. Cuts on the quarter round should be put in places with low visibility. Caulking wasn't very good either. The bottom line is that the vinyl floor looks great and we love it. I painted the baseboard and cleaned up some of the caulking as I went along. As I said before, the installer was very lovely and changed out anything we objected to. I just think he should have had a partner and had more experience. Note: I called the salesman about the poor communication and being stood up. He was very apologetic and offered to send us a bottle of wine. We declined because it wasn't his fault. Hope this review was helpful. Proceed with caution."
