"I hired Henry Pedaza of J.M.P. to build a fireplace surround and mantel. This was a relatively straightforward project. Because I had the oak wood, I provided the majority of the wood, he only had to provide the mantel shelf...which was cut too shallow, so there is a 1/2 gap where the shelf meets the wall. He literally cut and nailed up 7 pieces of trim board, filled the seams with putty and was done. I showed him my concerns, and we agreed he would come back the next day to tweak his work to my satisfaction and complete another small task, the baseboard. He did not sweep, nor pick up the scrap wood or anything. I paid him (like a fool --$950.00!!!) and of course, you guessed it, he did not show up the next day or next or next. I called, texted left messages and no reply. I was wrong to pay him before being satisfied,(my bad) but I trusted him. PLEASE DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN!! HE DEFINITELY SCAMMED ME!!!"

They repaired a hole in my garage roof. They built me a 420 square ft walkway which solved a lot of water issues. So if you need more than one thing done "

"After our initial job was done we decided to have Adam and the crew back to add the decking we initially declined on the original project. Adam was able to find time in the schedule to come back quickly as my husband was having surgery and made sure the job was done before that date so we wouldn't have to worry about it. We have referred Adam to some family already and will share Belmont Builders with anyone we know who has a project that needs prompt, professional, and quality workmanship all at a fair cost! "

"We are very happy with the work product of the privacy fence built on my garage deck. The privacy fence matches the other sections of the fence that already exist which was the goal. It did take a couple calls to get a start date after a period of not hearing anything since the deposit was paid. In addition, once the work was complete, I was sent an updated invoice and was told it was due to the increased cost of lumber since the estimate. There was a lumber charge which was reasonable and the estimate did say the cost could change. What I didn’t appreciate was that an additional charge of added for labor for an assistant that was not included in the original estimate or discussed prior to work starting. The company removed the fee without argument when questioned. If I hadn’t compared the new invoice to the estimate and questioned it, I would have thought it was the lumber charge. My recommendation is to be a smart consumer and be sure to compare the estimate with the final invoice."

"Ray came out and did a thorough look over of our porch and only fixed what was needed. I really appreciated this since other people wanted to replace the whole porch and be instead focused on what was needed. He also did the work himself along with a partner so good to know the person you hire does the work. We had some back and forth challenges in getting a hold of one another that took a longer to start the work than we wanted but once we connected Ray did a great job. We were unhappy with one board so he replaced it when we asked with no complaints. Ray is a nice guy who is honest and does quality work."
