"The work was okay. The quote only came with one coat. There were some areas of the house that only got one coat that really needed two coats. If I wanted another coat, I had to pay extra. It seemed like the owner would always come in to tell us about additional charges towards things that were going to cost more. He kept saying he's been in the business for 25 years, but that was a red flag for me, because he figured out how to up the invoice. He quoted something that should be all inclusive. But he'd show up right before the work starts or right during the work and said stuff like the fence would cost another $300. But when we did our walk-around, I told him about the fence and what I needed painted. And then he came in and claimed if I wanted it done, it would be another $300. I didn't fall for it. I told him I wasn't going to add on money. He figured out how to upcharge, which upset me. The work was okay. It was good. It didn't say anywhere in the contract that it was only going to be one coat. Some of the doors and other areas are not quite as sharp as they should be. We actually ended up painting a couple of them ourselves. The work was fine and the house looks nice, but the owner was a little greedy. It's a year later and we've had to repaint a few areas because of chipping, but that's the nature of painting a stucco house. His crew worked really well and were on time."

"We can't thank Matt Clark enough for the attention to detail and fine craftsmanship. He never cut corners and always worked as if he were remodeling his own home. The finish work is so fantastic I can't stop looking at it. Communication is excellent and very responsive via email or phone. The crew is extremely good natured, cheerful and respectful of the home they're working on (which is not my previous experience with construction crews). The work was completed as promised, even though they had to work late to accomplish it. My flooring was a little tougher to install than most, which meant longer hours. But they never complained. Matt is willing to answer questions and share information without reservation. Set up and clean up were easy. I really loved that we never had to ask to have things done to our specifications because the work always exceeded our expectations. <br /> There is no question that we will ask Clark's Construction back for all of our future remodeling projects! <br />"

FAQs for concrete floor coating apply projects in Lamont, MI

Epoxy flooring is a two-part coating made from synthetic resins and a hardener that bonds to concrete to create a continuous, durable surface. Once cured, the coating resists impacts, moisture, and most household chemicals, making it a practical choice for garages, basements, and workshops. It also creates a uniform, easy-to-clean finish that looks more polished than bare concrete without requiring ongoing waxes or sealers.

With proper care and maintenance, solvent-based and solid residential epoxy flooring can last 10 to 20 years, while water-based epoxy flooring lasts three to five years. Water-based epoxy is less durable, making it more susceptible to regular wear and tear. Commercial epoxy concrete flooring that experiences heavy foot traffic may only last two to three years.

Maintaining epoxy garage floors is relatively easy. You can sweep up dirt and debris with a broom, dustpan, or vacuum cleaner, then use a mild cleaning solution intended for epoxy floors to scrub away stains. Avoid using soap-based or chemical cleaners. Mopping an epoxy garage floor regularly with warm water can do the trick.
