"It took a day to do all the prep work to install the tile.  My husband and I removed the majority of the furniture before they came. I had taken down curtains and wall hangings.  They had to remove tile by the back and front doors.  They laid tile in my family room, kitchen and utility room.  Tile was laid at an angle. They did a marvelous job laying tile. Every piece fit perfectly. They moved the stove and  fridge. We only had one afternoon and night with no access to the fridge. When I indicated that I wanted to paint the utility room, they grouted the tile and added the quarter molding at the base of the floor boards first so I could paint over the weekend before the washer, dryer, and sink were put back in place. When they laid the entry way tile, Joe did an amazing job of creating a very stunning entry design. The laminate laying went quickly. <br /> I thought Creative Carpets and Interiors were very methodical in their workflow.  They finished one section at a time and I was able to begin putting my rooms back together as they finished.  <br /> I gave Creative Carpets and Interiors a "B" for price as they were the more expensive of the two places from whom we requested a quote. Even though they were more expensive, I think it was worth the money. The work was top-notch and they were very clean workers.  They did not leave a mess as they worked and had everything picked up and stored at the end of the workday. <br />"

"They were on time and true to their word. They called before they came so we could make sure we were here. They cleaned up everything after and even left some extra carpet for us."

"The new windows are wonderful and a great improvement. I had wanted to do just this set right now not only because I had to but to see the quality of the windows and installation for when I do the entire house later next year. Will definitely use Window World! My cost of $858 included a $300 set/teardown fee and $150 for the required wood replacement. All of this was explained to me when we got the estimate and it was fine because I know this is a cost that would be there where you do one window or one hundred.."

"I received an estimate for $1048 and scheduled my appointment.  Part of the estimate was in case there was joist work to be done after they tore up the floor.  My contact, Ray Martinez, found me a different type of flooring, at my request,  which had a 10 year warranty and there was no joist work done, so my final bill was around $830.  <br /> I was EXTREMELY pleased with the work performed at my home.  The men came on time (about 9:15 or so) and hit the ground running.  They worked SO hard that I went out to buy them lunch.  One of the workers took about ten minutes to eat and the other got his lunch on a paper plate and continued to work!  The only time they stopped was to go get supplies.  I watched as they worked because the last person who replaced my floor in the bathroom did not do a good job.  These gentlemen, Lorenzo and Steve, took up ALL the old flooring and took the trash out as they went.  They reinforced the area where the damaged originally occurred and they even cleaned the walls behind where my toilet stood.  They measured carefully when installing the sub floor and flooring.  They put baseboard down and caulked the tub.  They were finished by about 4:30.  This was a blessing to me because I only have one bathroom in my house. <br /> Several of my family members have come to see the work and were amazed at how good it looked. <br />  I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND using Carpet World, Ray Martinez, and their contractors to do you flooring!! <br />"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Lampasas, TX

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
