Despite multiple follow-ups and visits from their representatives, their proposed "solution" is completely inadequate. They cut off protruding screws and offered to paint over the damage, but this does nothing to fix the underlying structural issues or the buckling they caused. To make matters worse, their response tried to blame the lanai’s condition on pre-existing wear and tear from the hurricane, even though the damage was clearly caused by their workers during installation. This attempt to avoid accountability is both insulting and unprofessional. When we informed them that we would withhold the final $12,000 payment until the damage was resolved, they responded with vague promises but no real action plan to repair the roof. They also made communication unnecessarily difficult by asking who the "decision-maker" was, despite being told multiple times that all correspondence would go through me and my mother. I strongly urge anyone considering Comfort Cover Systems Inc. to look elsewhere. If they damage your property, you can expect excuses, deflection, and an unwillingness to take responsibility. My family is now left with no choice but to escalate this matter to the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation and the Florida Roofing and Sheet Metal Contractors Association. Save yourself the frustration and find a company that values its customers and takes pride in doing the right thing."
