"A year and a half ago, we hired System Pavers to redo our driveway: changing it from stamped concrete to pavers. At the time, we knew we wanted to do the same thing to our back patio, but we figured it would be smart to try them out on a somewhat smaller project first, and then tackle the much larger and more complicated back yard once we knew we were satisfied. (Back yard is ~2,000 sq ft.) Needless to say, we were delighted with the work they did in 2019, and therefore asked to have the same project manager (Jimmy Jackson) again this year. That said, Jimmy had a long weekend planned out of town during our project, but things continued without a hitch, with Rich Daugherty stepping in to cover in Jimmy's absence -- absolutely seamless service! The project started ~2 weeks ago, and was completed in only 10 working days, including one Saturday (at our request -- so as to get the noisy jack hammering all done in as few business days as possible). Note that my husband had delayed moving forward on this project because he guessed it would take them a minimum of 4 weeks to complete it, with at least 2 weeks of jack hammering the old concrete. Wrong! It was more like 3 days of demo, followed by 7 days of construction -- and the demo all had to be done by hand: there was no way for a bobcat to access our back yard, so the guys used jack hammers and wheelbarrows to remove all that concrete. They are are FAST! They are also artisans: our house is of modern design, so the pool and back patio have lots of corners, which were mitred beautifully. They also added drainage to the patio, thereby solving a prior problem. The detail work was simply awesome! Any question we raised, they addressed, and we saw Jimmy or Rich here daily, ensuring that everything was picture perfect. Believe me, if/when we have any other hardscape that needs attention, we will call them again!"

"Overall the project was fantastic, and Seth was great to work with. From taking the concept my wife had, Seth drew up a plan with everything she asked for, and we were able to scale back where needed for budgeting purposes, so he helped us rework from the original design to where we ultimately landed. Timing - he began on time, and finished early. Project lasted a total of 5 weeks. Budget - he was spot on to the original budget. We did make changes to some items, and he kept a running change list that was helpful to keep us on track. Team - The guys were amazing, and took exceptional pride in their work. I got to chat them up quite a bit, and they’ve been with Seth for many years - which was an awesome sign, because I’m guessing you don’t stay of things aren’t going well. They were here everyday from 7-3:30, and the few times that they weren’t, we had a heads up. We even got a heads up when it wouldn’t be the full crew. Communication - pretty sharp, zero complaints here. We knew what was going on, when it was happening, and Seth was here almost everyday for at least a period of time. Overall, they were great - and we will use them again for our front yard, hopefully sooner rather than later."

"The wall is made of cinder block 6"x8"x16" -- with a footing of about 10" deep. Used #4 rebar to reinforce the wall. Cement and stucco (white) were used to cover the cinder block giving it a nice finish look. Front porch was repaired by grinding the existing surface to remove old paint to expose the original cement finish. He also repaired cracks. It was left smooth and very clean. The side of the porch was also repaired with cement and stucco to match the new wall. I continue get a lot of compliments from family, friends and neighbors who are impressed with the great work that Egald Construction performs."

"We went from all dirt and a very small concrete patio to an absolutely beautiful backyard.  The pavers were installed in just a few days and their employees were all professional and conscientious, cleaning up each day before leaving.  My husband and I are extremely happy with the final product and have recommended Integrated Paver Systems to several new neighbors moving into the community.  Thanks Mark and Crew......"

"Absolutely love my backyard!! Job included quite a bit of concrete demolition, grading, installation of pavers, including short walls, lighted pillars, a long lighted step, irrigation modifications, re-seeding lawn, etc. Victor was extremely responsive and I was very picky. He and his crews worked with me in making changes as the job went along. I was impressed with their responsiveness. Price was good, considering the amount of demo my yard needed. (I had received about 4 or 5 estimates and Belman’s bid was the most inclusive and very competitively priced.) They also warranty their work. I also appreciated his (and his daughter’s) design ideas. They added quality finishing touches I wouldn’t have thought of. Oh - the job was done on time and on budget. Overall, we are extremely satisfied."

"He provided the name of the engineer he would use for the structural considerations and the draftsman for the submission of plans to the City of LA for all permit requirements. As soon as the permits were issued he began work immediately. I was on site for the entire project and was extremely well pleased with the workers used, from framers to drywaller, all were excellent.  He kept me informed of all details and progress of the job.  The city inspections went smoothly.  Adam also offered decorating suggestions and referrals for flooring.  I will certainly use Adam for any future projects.

"We are looking to replace our large front lawn with  water-wise landscaping, with the objective of qualifying for the water district rebate which is available for replacing turf with low water use plants, and with the further objective of hoping to lessen our water usage.  After reading reviews on Angie's List we called Kirk and set up an appointment for him to come to our home.  He arrived at our home at the appointed time.  We explained to him our objectives and he listened attentively to our needs and limitations.  He thoroughly surveyed the area and took measurements before leaving.  We gave him the guidelines and plant list from the water authority.  He said that he would send us pictures of some of the plants he chose from the list so that  we could indicate any that we did not like.  The next week we received the labeled colored pictures of the plants and we indicated the ones we did not care for.  He was very accommodating and willing to be sure we were completely satisfied with the plant selection.
Yesterday he met with us with the completed design plan.  He had done a very nice job and we were  pleased.  The plans (three copies) were complete with names of plants, number of plants, and pictures of each plant in color.  He carefully  explained to us his use of each plant and how it fits into the total design.  Kirk prompted us to ask any questions we might have and was very open to any concerns we had.  We are very happy that he has kept in mind the limited budget we have for installation and plants, and created a design not elaborate but attractive using plants of varying textures and sizes which complement each other.
Kirk is very easy to work with and attentive to the desires and needs of the client.

"

In 25 years this is the best experience we have ever had with a contractor.
The whole process started with our upstairs toilet overflowing. Unfortunately this happened without the knowledge of anyone in the household and occurred just as we were leaving the house for a 4 hour shopping trip. When we came home the bathroom and most of the downstairs area was flooded. We reported this to our insurance company and were able to get the water mitigation and demolition completed with one of their suggested contractors. We then spent 8 weeks working with a couple of contractors trying to come to an agreement so we could get the repairs done. Even our insurance company was frustrated with the poor communication and effort these contractors exhibited. Just when we were ready to give up on ever getting the repairs completed, someone from work referred us to Builderzz.
I called Builderzz that night and spoke with Yoav Arielli who goes by Joe. We agreed to meet the next night. When Joe came to give his estimate, I shared the insurance estimate with him to help ensure that he didn't miss quoting anything. Joe did a quick review of their estimate and said that he felt that the price they were estimating on many of the repairs we needed were overstated. He was confident that he could give us an estimate well within the allowance we had received from the insurance company. By the time we finished our meeting, my wife and I were sold on Joe and his company. We agreed before he left to get the work done by Builderzz. We expected to have to wait a week or two before getting started but Joe said he could have two members of his team out the following day! My wife and I were going to be away at work so we arranged for my 81 year old mother to be home to let them in at 8:00 AM and to stay with our dogs while we were away. By the time we got home at 6:00 PM, the two workers and Joe were still there! We were amazed to find that they had not only installed all of the drywall, but had also installed the recessed lighting. My mother later told me that Eliseo, the worker who had been working in the kitchen, worked pretty much non stop. The next day was a Saturday and these guys don't seem to ever rest. Once again, they were at our house all day, prepping the drywall, texturing, removing wallpaper. Eliseo in particular is an artist. By the end of the day our kitchen looked tremendous. And Joe was a presence as well visiting or calling on a regular basis to make sure everything was going along smoothly.

A couple of days later, when the kitchen was ready for sanding and primer, I called Joe to make sure our appointment was still on schedule. Of course, he said, asking if we had chosen our vanities, offering to pick them up himself if we needed his help.
In an effort to save money my wife and I decided to help with the painting. We worked with Daniel and he was a real pro, offering suggestions to help improve the outcome.
Joe and Builderzz have gone above and beyond numerous times and in ways we didn't expect and we highly recommend them. We'll certainly use them again."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Landers, CA

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
