Customers say: Quick response

"Paul Davis Restoration of Delmarva built my composite deck on a challenging work site. The new deck has custom steps, ramp, and benches. The deck skirting is unique and gorgeous. We are extremely pleased with the design and workmanship and have received many compliments from friends and neighbors. I want to thank Brian Rush, Josh, Brittney, and Christina. I especially want to thank Brian Pittman and his crew, Collin and Shawn. It was a pleasure dealing with everyone at Paul Davis."

"This company is wonderful. They were on time, kept the place tidy during the process, did quality work, and were courteous and polite. And, they were finished a day ahead of schedule! They pay attention to detail and do the work as if it were their own place. Danny is very easy to work with, and offers great suggestions. I still need kitchen cabinets, countertop and sink and Danny worked with me to find something I liked and still fit in my budget. I will be calling him after the first of the year to get it done. Once you have work done from these guys, I am confident they will be the only contractor you will ever call."

"I was not sure who to use since I was not a full time resident in Ocean City. I went to the Sherwin Williams store on 127th street in Ocean City and they gave me the names of 3 painters in the area that they would recommended for the job. I called all three and got estimates from all of them. <br /> After meeting all three contractors and receiving the estimates I was most impressed with not only the estimate, but the professional knowledge Roger Bonvino had. <br /> Roger was very personable and seems very professional. After meeting he sent me a very detailed estimate the following day with a complete breakdown of the job and what each step would cost. I knew exactly what I was getting and we were able to make changes at that time if needed. He was also very knowledgable about how the best way would be to paint those ceilings and also the kitchen cabinets. <br /> I left him a key and I came back to Ocean City one day before the job was completed. (It was a 6 day job) The entire week we stayed in contact and he kept me updated with how things were progressing. (I really appreciated that!) When I walked into the condo I could not believe my eyes! It was absolutely beautiful! He patched the many areas that were mess, he repaired and painted the ceilings, walls, trim, doors and the ugly cabinets looked gorgeous! Everything was cleaned up and looked amazing! My neighbors stopped over and commented that the place looked brand new! They really did a great job! <br /> I am an interior decorator and I work with contractors all the time and I know when I meet a good one. I highly recommend Roger Bonvino and his crew! <br />"

FAQs for cabinets reface projects in Laurel, DE

Absolutely. Refacing returns 65% to 80% of your investment at resale, and you get an updated kitchen right now. Because you’re not paying for new boxes or demo work, the price lands well below complete replacement but still delivers a fresh, custom look that buyers—and you—notice every time you walk in.

To trim costs, start by pricing a high-quality paint or gel stain instead of full refacing—stain alone can be one-third the price of full refacing. Keep existing hinges and pulls if they’re in good shape, and shop sales for sandpaper, primer, and sealer. The sweat equity is real, but so are the savings, and a careful DIY job can still leave your cabinets looking sharp for years to come.

A professional crew needs only three to five days to reface a standard kitchen, although a larger layout or intricate door style may add one to two days. Compare that with the several weeks a full cabinet swap can drag on. In other words, you get your space back fast, often before the paint on the new doors is even fully cured.

Yes, you can replace just the cabinet doors and drawer fronts without covering the cabinet boxes. Cabinet refacing involves installing new doors and drawer fronts while applying veneers to existing cabinet boxes. If you’re satisfied with the condition of your cabinets, swapping doors and drawer fronts reduces labor and materials, saving you time and cost. Always consult a professional to confirm compatibility and ensure a seamless, high-quality finish.

Most cabinet refacing projects do not require removing countertops because professionals can access doors and drawers around existing surfaces. However, if your countertop overhang prevents full access to the cabinet boxes, contractors may need to lift the countertop to install veneers properly temporarily. Discuss this with your refacing specialist during the on-site estimate so you know exactly what the project entails.
