Customers say: Quick response

"Tucker was very good. He was polite and respectful. He was on time and when he worked he was careful to do exactly what I had asked. If he was running late arriving he’d call and let me know. He would have me look at what had been done to be sure I was satisfied. If there was something I’d forgotten to ask him to do he’d either do it then if he had the time or make another time to come back and do it! He was very eager to be sure I was satisfied with his work and fix anything I had a problem with. I’ll be calling him when I have more outside work done in the future."

"Company President Will McCuen and his team responded to our calls promptly and were always on time. They are EXPERTS in what they do - combining the art and science of slab adjustments. They explained fully what they were going to do and did it on time and at the estimated cost. We received another estimate for this job and it was $2000 LESS than what Will quoted. But the other company did not inspire confidence and they said we would need to tear up (and later, replace) the hardwood floor in our bedroom and tile floor in our bathroom where the slab was sinking. Instead, Will was able to drill small holes and do patches of the areas damaged. So the resulting cost may actually have been less expensive than the competitor."

"Jamie and his crew did an excellent job. They have great attention to detail, are very conscientious and polite, and cleaned up well when the job was done. The work done to add an asphalt paved parking area to my existing residential driveway is very high quality, and they did more than was promised in the quote to make sure that the job was done correctly. My job involved stump removal, some grading, fill and compacting, with paving on top. I had quotes from four paving companies, and Crenshaw made the best proposal, and followed through."

"The main problem that occurred was the scheduling of the service. Some of it was due to rain, but it became annoying to have to keep rescheduling and having to alter my plans. When they arrived to do the job, they were very nice, friendly and professional. And apologetic re the delays. The job was performed to my expectations. <br />"

FAQs for asphalt paving installation projects in Laurens, SC

Most driveways wrap up in roughly a week. Allow two to three days for installation, followed by an additional two to three days for the surface to cure. Concrete and asphalt follow this timeline, whereas a gravel job often finishes more quickly. Laying out the schedule upfront makes it easier to plan your week and your budget.

Sealer prevents water, salt, and UV rays from damaging the surface. Apply a fresh coat every one to three years, and you’ll slow down the growth of cracks, avoid pricey repairs, and keep the driveway looking sharp. A local professional can handle the job efficiently and ensure even coverage.

Material is the significant driver when it comes to the lifespan of a driveway. Asphalt stays strong for about 20 years, concrete lasts 30 to 40 years, and paver stones can last 50 to 100 years because you can swap out damaged bricks. With regular top-ups, a gravel drive can also reach the century mark. Knowing these timelines helps you map out long-term maintenance and replacement costs.

Repaving strips everything down and starts fresh, letting you change the layout or improve drainage before pouring new material. Resurfacing, on the other hand, adds a top layer over a solid base, giving you a facelift without the need for a complete demolition. Go with repaving when the base is failing; choose resurfacing when the structure is sound and you just need a new surface.
