"After paying other companies to install and fix this seriously leaking gutter issue with no results , I was put at ease by Excelsior’s Mr George Stewart , who came out and assessed what was wrong and what was required to remedy the situation , spending a lot of time to explain and answer questions , and arranged to begin the work needed the next day . I am extremely pleased with the outcome , this worrisome problem , years - long in the making , solved for me when no one else could . I wish I knew of this company years ago . Do yourself a favor and look no further than Excelsior Roofing for all your home’s outside needs and repairs ."

"I helped my Mom with contacting and scheduling Overson to install her new ceramic tile roof. Charlie (the Estimator) and Bianca (the office Production Scheduler) were very kind and professional. The onsite Supervisor and his roofing crew did an excellent job. The company met our expectations and I would highly recommend Overson Roofing."

"John found the leak at the skylight. He repaired the roof, corrected errors made by an earlier roofer and replaced the skylight. In the other area he removed the tiles, repaired the underlayment, found and replaced corner tiles and used cement to ensure they stayed in place. I have been using John since the '90s and remain very satisfied with his work. You won't go wrong choosing him."

"The job was completed with minimal interruption to our normal routine. At the end of each day our yard was left clean. All work was completed to the specifications indicated on the contract. The new roof looked good, and we are sure it will keep or house dry from any rain or monsoon activity. We would recommend their service to anyone needing roof replacement."

"We contacted three contractors including Harris roofing and were told we just need minor maintenance! They were professional and did a great job! The solar company did not believe it was all we needed and hired their own roof contractor to check our roof. They said it was in excellent condition after our maintenance and we needed no repairs just like Harris roofing had told us. I would recommend this extremely professional and trustworthy company to anyone and everyone!"

"Extremely happy with the services and materials provided. My house needed all new shingles, flat roof replacement and some roof repairs. Work was done as scheduled and the workers cleaned up every night - not a bit of debris left. They even took precautions overnight because there was a chance of rain and thankfully they did because it rained. There was constant communication with the office and foreman so I knew exactly what was happening or going to happen. Any question I had was answered quickly as well. I would highly recommend!"

"<p>The estimator, James, was very pleasant, thorough, and did a great job of explaining what was needed to repair our roof.  His quoted work was in line with the damage that we were aware of, i.e., he did not add any work that was not necessary.  We thought that the quoted cost was reasonable considering the amount of work to be done and decided to go with Roofstar.  We are happy that we did.  Juan Diaz and his crew did an outstanding job with the repair and cleanup.  Everything was accomplished per the quote and at the quoted price.  We are very happy and will recommend Roofstar to any neighbors needing roof work.</p>"

"Devin of Mikku & Sons Roofing, came to my home in Glendale, Az yesterday afternoon (6/28/2023) and did an inspection of my roof on my 2 story house. He found about 10 tiles that were cracked, 2 corner tiles that were missing, & one place where there was a large enough gap for rain to do damage. He also found several tiles that were loose & about to fall off the edges. His price: $375, which I felt was fair. He did part of the work yesterday & finished it up this morning. I could have probably done the repairs myself, but I doubt that I would have done as good a job as he did, because roofing is not my line of work, & when it comes to a roof, if you have any leaks, you could end up with costly damages. I found Devin to be sincere & honest, dependable, & concerned. He was up-front about his price and did not try to nickel & dime me out of any more money. I recommend Mikku & Sons Roofing highly."

"I have used Phillips Roofing since 2006. They replaced the foam on my flat roof, coated my flat roof and replaced my tile roof. They are expert roofers. I have never had a problem once they did the work. One very special thing about them they will do an annual inspection at no cost for 10 years after they redo a flat or pitched roof. Their inspections are thorough. With Phillips Roofing I do not have to worry about inferior work or roof leaks. I recommend Phillips Roofing for they do excellent work."

FAQs for roofing installation & roof repair projects in Laveen, AZ

An average Cape Cod roof-raising project requires approximately two to three months from start to finish. The timeline depends on several variables, including weather conditions, contractor availability, material delivery schedules, and the specific complexity of your home's structure. The process involves multiple phases, including demolition, framing, roofing, window installation, and interior finishing. Working with an experienced contractor who provides a detailed timeline can help set realistic expectations for the project duration.

While most Cape Cod homes can accommodate roof-raising modifications, each house requires individual structural assessment. Older homes may need foundation reinforcement or wall strengthening before supporting additional weight. Factors like the existing roof framing system, load-bearing wall placement, and overall structural integrity all influence feasibility. A qualified structural engineer should evaluate your specific property before proceeding with design plans. Additionally, local zoning ordinances may restrict maximum building height or architectural modifications in certain neighborhoods.

Temporary relocation is highly recommended during a Cape Cod roof raising project. The construction process involves removing portions of your existing roof, exposing interior spaces to potential weather damage, and creating significant noise and dust. Most homeowners find temporary accommodations for the two to three-month construction period, with relocation costs ranging from $2,000 to $6,000, depending on your housing choices. If staying with family or friends isn't possible, budget for short-term rental or extended-stay hotel expenses as part of your overall project cost.

Consider roof raising when you experience severely limited headroom throughout the second floor, find yourself constantly stooping under sloped ceilings, or have minimal usable floor space due to low ceiling heights. Other indicators include inadequate natural light, poor ventilation, and difficulty accommodating standard furniture in upstairs rooms. Simple renovations can improve an attic's appearance, but cannot create additional headroom without structural modifications. A complete roof-raising project makes more sense than cosmetic renovations if you're seeking genuine second-floor living space rather than just storage improvements.

Begin your search by seeking contractors with specific experience in Cape Cod structural modifications and dormer additions. Request detailed portfolios showing similar completed projects and ask for references from previous clients with comparable work. Verify that potential contractors hold appropriate licenses and insurance coverage and understand local building codes relevant to roof raising. Interview multiple candidates, comparing price quotes and their communication style, project approach, and proposed timeline. The ideal contractor should demonstrate a thorough understanding of Cape Cod architectural characteristics and structural requirements.
