"I hired DS Home Services to install LVP flooring in two bedrooms. Dan was very professional. He did a great job removing the old carpet, putting down the new flooring, new quarter round, and thresholds."

"I usually don’t do this but had to for this company. They traveled out of state for the project, and I had hired Venust Global Company to install a kitchen for me and they did remarkable work. They kept the area clean at all times and also cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day. They were Very friendly and cooperative, and helped me make some final decisions with the kitchen I had trouble with. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs some work done! Good Job!!"

"I called Atlanta appliance (http://atlantaappliance.com) late in the day on a Friday. They were able to come out the next day, showed up within the first 20 minutes of a 2 hour window. Inspected the microwave and within 15 minutes diagnosed it to be the computer board. Since we decided to purchase a new microwave instead of replace the board, we only had to pay $7.95.

"I was charged $80 for a on site visit that would be subtracted from the total charge - should something actually be wrong. They showed up late by an hour from their time window of 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. What was done took less than five minutes. A previous repair person had not knocked out a plug to insert the dishwasher runoff into the disposal. I was charged an additional $50 on top of the original $80. Neither the repair person that was sent out or the office inside sales/scheduler could explain why I had been charged more than what had been estimated."

FAQs for appliance (microwave oven) installation and replacement projects in Lebanon, GA

A pro can finish the job in one to three hours. Countertop models are the quickest, but built-in, drawer, and over-the-range units take longer because the installer may need to run a new outlet, modify cabinets, or add venting. Any add-ons can push the timeline closer to the three-hour mark. Hiring a licensed installer ensures the wiring is safe and the appliance operates at peak performance.

Because an over-the-range microwave doubles as a range hood, it needs proper venting. You can opt for a recirculating model that filters and recirculates air back into the kitchen, or a ducted unit that exhausts outdoors. Are you unsure which route suits your cooking style? Ask your installer for guidance before making a purchase.

Only microwaves labeled “over-the-range” have the built-in venting and lighting that’s necessary for safe, code-compliant use above a stove. Countertop models don’t have those safeguards. Before you swipe your card, have a licensed microwave installer confirm you’re choosing the right unit for the space and ensure compliance with local codes.

It’s best not to install a countertop microwave in your cabinets. Countertop models aren’t designed for use in an enclosed cabinet, and blocking those vents can trap moisture or even create a fire hazard. A built-in or drawer microwave is designed for tight spaces. Run your plans by an installer to make sure you’re buying the right style for the spot.

You don’t need an electrician if the outlet already meets the microwave’s power needs and sits in the right spot. In that case, you’re good to go ahead with the installation. If the outlet is undersized, outdated, or too far away, hire a licensed electrician to install a new one and ensure everything is code-compliant.

With routine care, most microwaves last between five and 10 years. To help them reach their maximum lifespan, wipe up spills immediately, wash the grease filter periodically, avoid using metal dishware, and close the door gently. Those simple habits reduce malfunctions and keep the appliance running smoothly for the long haul.
