Jason is focused on Green Construction and in 2009 was awarded the distinction of NAHB Certified Green Building Professional, and he received a lead-based paint remediation license. Before coming to work with Dixon Construction, he developed his skills for managing construction projects for large home builders. He competed in the Greensboro Parade of Homes in 2006 with a luxury home he both designed and built, and won "Gold" in the competition. Jason also won a number of awards such as Builder of the Month in 2005 for the most homes built on budget, on schedule, with 100% customer satisfaction for DR Horton, one of the largest home builders in the country, and a Fortune 500 company. Tom Dixon, Founder of Dixon Construction and Realty, graduated from NC State with a BA in Animal Science and Agricultural Economics. After two years in the Army, he assumed a loan officer position with the Farmers Home Administration. Working nearly 40 years as the Catawba County Supervisor for USDA, and FMHA, he facilitated providing funds to build homes, to buy, develop and operate farms. Other funding projects included funding fire stations, child care/senior care facilities, water and sewer systems, various other public projects and business loans. Each project or loan maintained or created jobs.
