"Slow process due to excessive rain and shortage of concrete throughout city and surrounding areas. All subcontractors did very good work. Worst part of the whole process was lack of communication. - We'd sit for days not knowing if or when someone was going to show up or receive a phone call on the status of something. In the end, we voiced our concerns to the owner and overall, we love our pool and patio.

Customers say: Quick response

"Zach and Jeff were great! Love my new liner. They offered services that past installers had not. Like painting my coping. Repairing and refinishing my steps is the biggest thing that impressed me. My stairs were terrible (ask them) I had called bathtub finshers, other pool people and everyone said replace them!! Zach and Jeff we can fix them! We can make them look almost new! Believe me they are 110% better. They are not perfect due to our repairs over 10 years, but now.... they are so much better!! Can't wait for our first swim party!!"

We hired Riverwood Pools to do an in-ground pool and deck renovation and upgrade in the late summer of 2014. After contracting with the company and work had begun, we were informed by the owner, Ted Wyler, that renovations are not as money-making for him as new builds, therefore we were basically a second-rate customer. Along the way there were other small issues (normal with construction and renovations). For the new pool, we utilized some options he did not typically use, but still suggested and sold to us. A few of which created major issues have taken many months to resolve, and one that is still not resolved:
1) He installed blue steps (instead of the typical white), but a chemical used on the concrete coping forms damaged/bleached them which resulted in visible "drips." To fix, he drained the pool to the bottom step and re-filled the pool multiple times while he attempted to resolve with various chemicals and sanding. The marks are still faintly visible.

2) We converted the pool to saltwater, but he did not install the salt cell unit we requested. He also suggested and sold us a ladder and railing that were not rated for use in salt-water. As soon as they were placed in the water it voided the warranty. By mid-June almost all the finish had flaked off the ladder. We contacted him for a replacement as soon as the first flake came off (early Summer 2015) and have been given excuse after excuse since.

The last we spoke with him was Spring of this year (when we happened to run into him at lunch in Gallatin). He mentioned getting out of the business, complaining about complications, and gave us the excuse that he needs to get paid on another job in order to pay for and deliver our new railings. He told us he ordered them and they are sitting in the warehouse (which we do not believe). He has yet to return any of our recent attempts to contact him. We have been more than patient with this company and are pursuing dispute resolution.

Last Fall, we called Castlerock Pools, Inc. for a new liner for our swimming pool.  They arrived on time, did a great job installing the liner, added a new gas heater and closed the pool for us for the winter.  This Spring, I called Bill Belser again and asked him to open our pool to be sure everything was in working order.

Everything is in working order and we love  our "new" pool.  If you need repairs or a new pool, I would highly recommend Bill and Castlerock Pools. The price is right and the work is outstanding.

"I had my bottom finished and liner put in in July of 2020.After we started with Chris i saw alot of reviews that worried me. All of which were from a year or so prior. After talking with Chris about it he explained what was going on in his life at that point in time and i understood things happen. me and my wife continued to use him for the project. Through the time it took to get the liner in Chris remained super thorough in communication. Answered my texts/calls even texted me for updates before I asked. kept me in the loop on the timeline of the liner which is more than i can say for any other pool person i had dealt with until then. he resurfaced the bottom of my pool, fixed a bunch of things, did my plumbing and installed the liner in a timely fashion. I was in a pinch and Chris saved the day. I would use Chris again 10/10 times."

"I hired JAG Pools to remodel my 30 year-old inground vinyl liner pool. I live in Nashville about eight minutes from downtown. They added a bench in the shallow in and put in new stairs that had rotted, etc. They also used pool creat to smooth out the bottom of the pool floor and repaired the pool walls as well. It really modernized the look of our pool. They also install the brand new vinyl liner and I was very happy with the overall final product & color. I would highly recommend Jag Pools for anyone needing help with remodeling their inground pool. They were professional and showed up on time and did a great job!"

FAQs for swimming pool covers installation and replacement projects in Nashville, TN

The lifespan of automatic pool covers varies by component. Cover fabrics require replacement every five to six years, costing between $2,000 and $5,000, depending on size and material quality. Mechanical elements like motors function for five to ten years before needing replacement at $450 plus labor. The tracking system and housing unit can last considerably longer with proper care. Scheduling professional maintenance one to three times yearly at $150 to $200 per service helps maximize the operational life of all components.

While automatic covers require a larger initial investment, they provide significant advantages that often justify the premium. The convenience of one-touch operation encourages more consistent use, maximizing energy savings that can reach 50% to 70% on heating costs. The enhanced safety features, reduced chemical requirements, and decreased water evaporation deliver ongoing operational savings. These benefits outweigh the higher upfront expense for households that use their pools frequently.

Most existing pools can be retrofitted with automatic covers, though rectangular shapes accommodate them more easily than custom configurations. On-deck track systems offer the most straightforward installation for existing pools since they require minimal structural modifications. Recessed track systems necessitate more substantial deck alterations but provide a cleaner appearance. A professional assessment is essential to determine which system best suits your pool's specific layout and structural characteristics.

Proper maintenance includes promptly removing standing water and debris to prevent excessive weight on the cover. Use manufacturer-approved cleaning solutions for periodic washing according to recommended guidelines. Keep tracks clear of dirt and obstructions that could cause alignment problems or motor strain. Professional servicing one to three times yearly allows technicians to inspect mechanical components, lubricate moving parts, and make necessary adjustments before minor issues develop into major problems requiring costly repairs.
