"The tub and sink refinishing went well; the technician was skillful, friendly, and very professional. At first I was delighted. The tub finish has held up well. Unfortunately the sink has not and it is a mess. After 13 months - which is one month past the warranty - the basin of the sink began to peel. I contacted the company and they said it would cost $250-$300 to redo since the warranty was up. As I was going to be overseas for the next several months and they gave no discount, I decided to wait. The sink has only become worse, continuing to peel. Recently when I felt I could afford the repair they quoted me $545 plus $95/hour for labor to remove the old finish! I consider the amount to be outrageous and the response to be thoroughly unprofessional."

"Great. Intial call to them to obtain estimate was answered by real person , polite, courteous and quite informative. Devin made site visit next day and called me back as promised with a price, how long it would take, and other info I needed to know. A price and start day for project was agreed upon. On that day, KT Cleanouts arrived bright and early and worked throughout the day , finishing in about 6-7 hours which is what I was told earlier. the final price matched the estimate, the pool completely dismantled and the material all taken away. Site left clean as a whistle. I was quite satisfied"

"Horrible, absolutely horrible. DO NOT use this company. Company charges $289 to come out and look at your hot tub with the claim that the $289 will be applied to the total repair cost. Once they finally came to my house in mid July to look at the tub, the tech identified the issue right where I directed it was leaking. He stated it would take roughly a week to get the part and I paid the $289. Once they had my money, then began the total lack of any communication or ignoring my calls, emails and texts. One no show appointment, then every excuse from "wrong parts delivered" to "the parts on backorder". Once I call BS and gave them two suppliers where the parts were in stock - no further communication from them at all. Contacted my credit card company and filed a fraud dispute and got refunded my money as these crooks clearly had no intention of ever returning to perform an actual repair."

"Complete SCUMBAGS...Worked for months on design and install on new construction home...nothing ever goes according to plan. Once I had line of sight on project completion, I went back to schedule the job and these aholes Ray Varela and Bob Guarino jacked up my price by 5K (within 90 days). This was after several attempts to bait and switch on several quotes...adding here, removing there...trying to inflate the price decrease the scope. I have several quotes documented and will provide evidence to anyone who asks to prove my point...of course these scumbags will dispute my story...but I own the facts. Too many contractor options avail...STAY AWAY FROM SSG!!"

"I hired Billy to re-wire a 1910 Three Decker 3rd floor apartment with most of its original wiring intact. Billy was upfront about the scale of the job and some of the challenges that go along with such a task. His work was excellent and we are very pleased with the results. "If I could leave 0 stars I would. It started well, we were contacted immediately and scheduled an appointment. Our salesman came out and had a great personality and wasn’t pushy. We picked flooring to be installed on 7/13. On 7/12 I received a call from a woman (in the office) who informed me the they weren’t sure the material would work in our sunroom. She said she was going to contact the installers and get right back to me. This is where everything became unprofessional. First this woman never contacted me again. But I did receive a text saying I needed to accept the changes made to my order. I looked over the information and didn’t see any changes except the date form 7/13 to 7/17. I contacted empire to ask what changes had been made and also I explain about the conversation I had with the woman earlier about the flooring material not working. They assured me everything was fixed and we moved the install to 7/20. 7/19 we received a reminder of our appointment and we moved everything out of of sunroom to prepare for the install. Morning of the install we received a call letting us know all of our materials were loaded onto the truck and on its way to us at some point of the day. Almost 3 hours later I missed a called from a man from empire. His message went on to say that our salesman had made a mistake and should have contacted us, that they would not be able to do the flooring as plan because the material was not up to par with our sunroom and would fail. So my biggest problems with empire is they don’t seem knowledgeable, nobody seem to really know what was going on, it was a waist of my time and I pulled my credit for this. And even worst no one was responsible and everyone just passed the blame. Not a good company if you ask me. I will never go through empire"
