"We bought a "fixer upper" in Troy in the summer of 2018 and the entire HVAC system was 20+ years old. After doing a lot of research I decided I wanted an American Standard Furnace and AC system because consumer reports rated them as the most reliable brand. Tony was one of the few contractors that offered American Standard Products. I took bids from 5 different contractors for the furnace and hot water heater. Tony came out himself to look around and give the initial bid. He was very personable and was happy to answer all my questions. And I will tell you honestly I had a lot of questions. I meticulously researched Furnaces and Hot water heaters before I was ready to drop thousands of dollars. Tony emailed me back and forth 3 or 4 times answering questions before I finally awarded Custom Temperature Control the contract. Installation of the furnace and hot water heater was mostly problem free. I do give honest reviews so I will say there was one issue. When I brought this up to Tony, he came out himself the next morning to rectify it. 6 months later summer was approaching and it was time for a new AC system. Once again I did a lot research and took bids for several contractors. Once again Tony came out for more than an hour and went over my questions with me. Once gain he followed that with about 3 or 4 email exchanges providing answers to my detailed questions. And once again he was the lowest bid… by far. For an identical set of AC coils and compressor his bid was between $400 and $1,000 less than the other contractors. The other contractors had quality reviews on Angie’s list as well, but not as many total reviews as Tony. He also included a new a line, something the other contractors wanted to charge me additional money for (or use the old line which I read was not a safe bet). Installation of the AC system went smoothly. It’s clear to me Tony beats out his competitors on price, customer service, and customer satisfaction. One other thing that I like about Tony is that he offers multiple HVAC brands. Most places only offer 1 brand. Tony offers as many as 5 if I recall correctly. To me this says he puts the customer first because he is willing to offer a variety of choices instead of pushing one brand. I would recommend Custom Temperature Control to all my friends and family."

"Had an issue with our washing machine not draining. Problem was a bad lid switch. Dean from LOPHC was professional, courteous, and responsive and diagnosed and made the repair quickly. Price was completely reasonable. Definitely recommended and will use again in the future."

"Beware of shipping issues with this company. Ordered an ice maker installation kit on 10/10/25. Shipping was due no later than 10/20 according to company and FedEx tracking. FedEx tracking showed the package at their facility for 8 days without moving beginning on 10/15. Called FedEx 3 times. Each time they said they cannot find package and I have to contact shipper. Shipper has to make a claim, they will not mark it as lost. Called Appliance Parts Pros twice. Each time they say FedEx has to mark package lost before they will do anything. They also state they have to wait 14 days from them before doing anything because of their contract with FedEx. I don't care about their contract, I want what was ordered and paid for. Just going in circles with them and FedEX. If they shipped after 14 days it would be 22 days from that point, 32 days from the date of order if they shipped it that day. There was a deadline for installing this part before tenants arrive. They did not care, would not m"

"It went very well and I'm a happy customer. Mark showed me how good the rest of the unit looks after opening it up so we could look all around. He had brought the new suspension parts in his van so the repair could happen on the first visit. Mark is personable and efficient and within an hour he was done. I will call him for any future appliance repair needs."

"I called around for my mother to see if we could get her whirlpool washer repaired or if it was even worth repairing as in if most of the parts were high priced 3 or 4 hundred dollars it would not be worth paying. well the lady who answered the phone was not very friendly and simple went by her script of 65$ to come out plus parts and job fee to install the parts. so it seemed like they could repair the washer and dryer without and issues after it was diagnosed. we had the model number lhw0050pq4 and serial number ready to give berkley; they had no interest in it even though i said i could give it to them. it seems this company just wants to collect there 65$ show up fee. as in they charge 65$ just to come look at your washer and it does not go towards anything else. (I get charged less for a full price office visit at the doctors office.) i found out after they told us they could not fix the washer that berkely only sources parts from 4 places even though the internet is abundant with parts. berkley claimed only the four sources they get parts from were reliable, which is ridiculous. needless to say half of the parts for the washer were not available, which they could have took a few minutes to look up the washer by the model number and told us that up front; we would have never had them come out in the first place. they are also biased to ge and whirlpool since they are not chinese companies even thought most of the parts for those brands are made in you guessed it china or not the usa. plus everyone needs to make a living. and samsung is korean. also on the internet samsung and lg get the best ratings surpassing whirlpool and ge. my mom said that paul was friendly and evan who i talked to get more information on why they could not repair it was as well. too bad they are just into taking your money, even from a retired senior citizen."
