"Have worked with Jeremy and Larry at 1st Security for a few months now and they're great. They're far more responsive than any other alarm company I've worked with and they're focused on meeting your needs, versus endlessly trying to get you to buy more services and sensors that you might not need. In the house I just bought some other alarm company had installed a window open/close sensor on a window that doesn't open - probably fooling the prior senior citizen owners to pay more for more equipment they didn't need. "Workers arrived on time as scheduled. We had a little snafu with the building rules; my building requires that the hallway from the elevator to the apartment door be covered with masonite.  They were not prepared for this, and providing this service cost an additional $275.  So if anyone else is doing this in manhattan, I recommend you check with your building codes and make sure everything is worked out ahead of time so that there are no surprise extra costs.
The guys were very courteous and efficient.  The floors look beautiful, and there is minimal dust.  Overall, I am quite happy.  I would recommend them.

Michael visited multiple times over a period of weeks, mostly when I was out of the house, in order to restore the doors to nearly-new condition. This involved sanding, filling and color matching in multiple, painstaking stages. He proved totally trustworthy, and was a total perfectionist, paying as much attention to my mass-produced furniture as he would have paid to any antique. Despite the fact that the work ended up being more complicated than he had originally thought, he honored his original estimate."
