(This was super important with dogs that are used to using backyard to do their business.) Today was the final day of cleanup, power washing and sealing the concrete. "This company is absolutely wonderful beginning with the courtesy when I called to schedule an appointment the first time. Next Jack N who arrived at my home on time and as promised. He provided me estimate for the repair and went over every detail of it with me. When the crew arrived to do the job they were very professional and performed the job as promised. I have a large house that was built in 1902 and was NOT able to find anyone willing to tackle my problem. Acculevel came in and fixed every issue. My house has a tight crawl space but Acculevel was able to replace a beam and the sister joist. In addition provided support and leveled out my floor. This was done without needing to cut a hole in my floor. The results were immediate and my floor looks and feels wonderful. I immediately noticed the stability. I can not thank Acculevel enough for their hard work and reasonable pricing for my job. I would highly recommend them for all your foundation and stabilization needs. "Quickly. The crew of 7 arrived early and stayed late to get the project completed within two days. They dug a trench along the exterior walls of the basement, put drain tile in, covered it with 1/2" rock, then filled it with concrete. Along with this, they also installed a new sump pump which was included with the price. The concrete and dirt was taken out to a dumpster they brought and put in our driveway. Cleanup was fairly good, considering what they did. The only issue we had was when they were leaving, we asked if they would come back and put the work benches back in place after the concrete dried. When we got our estimate, the person we spoke with said they would put everything back. I specifically asked if they would put the work benches back (there are 5 work benches), and he said they'd put everything back as it was before. The head of the crew said they would come back the following week after another job and put them back, but when I called to schedule it, I was told it was not part of the agreement, that they didn't usually do that, and they could do it for an additional fee. This was very disappointing because we are seniors (89 and 71) and can't possibly move those work benches ourselves. Other than that, the workmanship and product used were very good and we would use them again."

"I received 3 estimates for filling the crawlspace with concrete and sealing the perimeter walls with a barrier to keep rodents (field mice) out and the warmth in. Their estimate was in the middle of the pack and after some online research I decided to use them for my project. They fit me in to their schedule and their crew of 4 showed up on time led by Willie. He and his crew were professional and helpful since we didn't know what to expect. They put down protective tarps and began the process. They were in at 8:30 a.m. and out by 1 pm. Fast, efficient and very good. I watched them in the crawl as they prepped the basement, after leveling and pouring in red lava rocks they poured the cement and made it perfectly smooth using a hand trowel to complete the first phase of this job. They quickly removed all debris and when they left for the day the interior of our home was just as clean as when they entered. The second phase of the job is to be completed in 2 weeks when they return to add a wire mesh and apply a 2" layer of closed cell SPF to the walls to seal the crawlspace off from the outside world. "It was great. Of course minor things are uncovered during projects, but Bob is the guy you want to have as a general contractor. Why? He is responsive. He always answers his phone and returns calls. This is huge, and if you’ve ever done a remodel project before you’ll know why. If anything comes up, he’ll make it over to check the issue out - in a couple days, not a couple weeks. He’s timely. He won’t give you an unrealistic timeframe. You’ll know what to expect for a turnaround timeframe, and he won’t disappoint you there. I can tell you from working with other contractors that most almost never get their work done on time - not even close. His team is professional and always keeps a neat work area and cleans up after themselves. He uses skilled laborers to complete all tasks properly, and we have seldom found only minor issues with quality and workmanship in all of our projects over the years. Of course nobody is perfect, but the important thing is that every small issue we have ever found has been quickly addressed and fixed. Bob is also a really nice guy. He has offered to help us out in a pinch when other people certainly wouldn’t. His quotes and terms are reasonable - I really just can’t say enough good things about him. We own a commercial property also, and Bob has helped us address just about every issue that has come up there, in addition to 3 remodeling phases at our rental home. Unfortunately, we are going to be moving out of his work area soon, but we HIGHLY recommend him to anyone needing a quality construction contractor. We also live in Chicago and have found plenty of quality contractors in the city, but none as responsive as this guy. He’s the one!"

"This is the first time I've had repair work done where the crew looked like they could be on one of those HGTV shows like Holmes on Homes. Here's why: <br> <ul> <li>Level of attention to detail. They spent a lot of time sanding and patching the concrete edges of the house/stoop/garage before they started pouring the driveway/walkway. They spent hours smoothing and shaping the concrete. <br></li> <li>Staff was friendly and extremely hard-working. Besides lunch, they seemed to never take a break.<br></li> <li>Accurate quoting. We made a change the day of the project which required a bit less concrete. Sure enough, we were charged for less concrete.</li> <li>Good equipment. They had a wide array of heavy machinery, power tools, and hand tools. Probably 30 different specialized tools were used to make sure everything was perfect.</li> <li>They did an excellent job cleaning up after themselves and leaving everything looking as it was before they started. They carefully kept the sod they had dug up around the edges and replaced it after they removed the wooden forms.</li> </ul>All in all, it went perfectly. This is the third time I've had concrete work done and these guys were the best yet. <br>"
