"The project did over run. It’s a large house, three floorings on one side. It was a big job. They got the job done and everybody said how good it looked. I would recommend them. Their workers were very courteous and polite. They knew what they were doing. The only problem I had which was not their fault, they had an hour and a half driving time each way to my house. That on some days presented few problems. I couldn’t say it’s their fault. It’s quite a distance from my house. On one section, I had had some of the cedar replaced with hardwood plank but they said it had not been done correctly. The manufacturer recommended them. That valued something. I went with that because I had no idea of what the price of a project like this would cost. In terms of responsiveness, I would give them a “B” and that’s probably because of the distance they had to come. I would use their services in the future."

"Preferred Roofing did a wonderful job for us. The owner, Fred Landmesser, provided a detailed contract outlining every aspect of the work. He uses quality Owens Corning architectural shingles and other materials are upgrades as well. There are no short cuts. The roofers replaced certain sections of wood that were improperly nailed by the prior company. Our roof is solid and aesthetically pleasing - a real improvement to the overall curb appeal of the house. Besides the quality work Fred’s company provides, expect some excellent customer service. Fred called us multiple times - to update on orders, schedules, arrival times, etc. He picks up the phone or shortly calls back. That’s comforting when you have engaged a company for a big ticket project. He made good on every single thing we discussed. The clean up was amazing with landscaping and lawn protected by tarps. The men use a “magnet on a pole” to pick up stray nails on the ground. I highly endorse Preferred Roofing for a worry free roofing project."

"After seeing their product at the Minneapolis Home & Garden show we were convinced that this was the right product for our porch improvement work. The guys from EZ-Screen brought samples to our home to help us select frame color and installation method. They took careful measurements of all of the window and door openings and put our order in motion. A few weeks later our windows and door were delivered. <br /> <br /> We did this work at the same time we had some exterior siding work done by another contractor. We arranged to have that contractor do the actual installation of the EZ-Screen product. The rep from EZ-Screen came out to our site when the installation started to ensure that our contractor understood how to properly install the windows and door. Everything went smoothly and contractor commented on how easy the windows went in. <br /> <br /> After three full seasons of use we still enjoy the product and we're pleased that we chose this as part of our porch renovation. "Our front door had been damaged by an attempted break-in for years and was getting progressively worse. We were pretty much unable to open it some days last winter. The salesperson that came out was friendly and well-informed. He went through all of our options and we decided on both a new front door and a new sliding glass door to the patio. The front door had many options that we went through which included the style of the door, the inside and outside colors and the style of the windows on either side of the door. He provided us with a quote which we accepted and he gave us what turned out to be a very accurate timeframe of when the doors would be installed. As we waited for the doors to be installed, Bee Window kept us apprised of where we were in the process and we worked out a couple areas in which there were questions. Installation day was scheduled and the installers arrived on time. It took a few hours for both doors to be installed. Before leaving, the installer guided me through opening and locking both doors and answered any questions that I had. They did a great job cleaning up the mess, both inside and outside of the house. The only negative I had with the entire process is that I felt that the price was a bit high. But after having the doors, and especially the new front door, I am more satisfied with this purchase than any other home improvement purchase I have made over the past 20+ years. The door is fantastic -- it closes properly and keeps the sound out and has zero gaps and looks absolutely beautiful."

"We dealt with the owner, Mark Spencer, directly.  The process was virtually seamless from start to finish.  It was very reassuring to work with the owner.  He knows a ton about windows and home improvements in general (as also a general contractor).  He was more interested in finding out what we wanted than selling us on anything in particular.  That was a breath of fresh air for sure after looking at some other companies that send sales people to your door.  A lot was riding on this purchase, so we were glad to work with someone that knew what they were doing.  We decided on his company because of his experience and knowing that the relationship was important to him so he would take care of us.  We made a great choice. <br /> During installation his crew was very experienced and professional.  I felt comfortable having these guys around the house.  I had planned to work from home, but after talking to them a little bit I just left them with my cell number and told them to let me know if they needed anything.  My wife was in and out through the whole project.  They finished most of the inside of our house on the first day (getting the windows actually installed).  They completed the big bow window and the sliding door on the second day and finished up the metal work the next morning.  When they were gone you would have never known they had ever been there...other than the brand new windows.  They were fantastic! <br /> Our house was built in 1982 and our old windows were our driving source of energy inefficiency.  We did online research for almost a year (on and off) and when we got serious we had a couple of companies over.  One thing I learned is that a lot of window companies use the exact same manufacturer to build their windows, they just slap their name tag on them (and they can tweak the design...most likely for style...and the prices for the same windows vary like you wouldn't believe).  One company in particular was trying to sell us on the foam and metal material used for installation (claiming their stuff was the best).  I later found out that Mark's company was using the exact same materials.  In the end, I highly recommend Legacy Window & Door.  No gimmicks and a great product! <br />"
