"Went great! Took a little while for them to get to our jobs (but granted, we did hire them in late spring at the peak of their season). They showed up on time, worked full days, cleaned up afterwards and were very friendly and professional. Billing was fair and even a bit under estimate. The yard looks fantastic and we will certainly hire them again!"

"Jason took our stairs to the basement that were a tiny spiral mid evil type stair case and made them so amazing. He also took out 7 layers of flooring in our kitchen and laid new real wood to match our current wood floor. He also drove out of his way to pick up our new granite. He came back a couple years later and redid our entire front porch and did some electrical and other odd and end jobs. He is an honest man and Works very hard."

"Charlie and Ashley repaired and added a beautiful brick landing with a limestone veneer to my existing poured concrete steps. They did a terrific job matching the materials and the old style mortar joints to match my existing foundation. Very pleased with their work and highly recommend them."

"Mike came out and inspected the area after contacting him by email.  Discussed options to have area fixed.  Worked with us to make sure we got what we want.  Started work that weekend.  Slight misunderstanding with one of his workers about the area to be worked on- called Mike and it was fixed by the end of the day.  Mike did the finishing work on the porch and cleaned up the "splatter" from the previous concrete work.  Did not damage any of the brick around the porch.  Area looks much better than it did when the house was new.  He powerwashed the area clean and fixed the edges.  No mess to clean up.  Very impressed. Worth every penny. <br />"

"He did a great job for us. We had him cut back a lot of brush, trim trees and bushes and haul away. He works quickly and gets it done asap. He also did some inside work when we were in a pinch needing something done soon and he made time to get it done, and didn't charge us an arm and a leg. Very dependable, hardworking, trustworthy and communicates well too....would definitely hire him again."

"Bryan and his crew are excellent! This is my second season having them mow my yard. When I bought my house last year the landscaping was very overgrown, they came out and did a great job cleaning everything up. This spring they came out and did a spring clean up including putting down new bark mulch. My yard looks fantastic! You can't even compare it to what it looked like when we moved in. I also use them to mow my yard, they are fast and efficient. <br /> I would highly recommend them to anyone that needs yard work or seasonal mowing. <br />"

FAQs for brick and stone patios, walks, and steps installation projects in Lexington, KY

When cleaning your flagstone patio, begin by gently hosing off loose dirt and debris. Use a mild solution of white vinegar and water or diluted dish soap to scrub the surface with a soft-bristled brush. Avoid using abrasive tools, such as wire brushes, as they can damage the stone’s seal and finish. This careful approach effectively removes mold and grime while preserving the natural beauty of your patio.

Flagstone naturally offers a neutral palette that includes shades of grey, black, red, yellow, brown, and tan, and its inherent color cannot be altered. Choosing varieties like bluestone provides a subtle bluish tint that complements many exterior designs. These natural hues enhance curb appeal and create a refined, timeless look in your outdoor space, ensuring a sophisticated finish with minimal upkeep.

Flagstone for a patio must have a minimum thickness of 1.5 inches to reliably support furniture and foot traffic. Using stone that is two to three inches thick is recommended to ensure lasting durability. The increased thickness prevents cracking under load and enhances long-term performance. Investing in thicker flagstone provides superior stability and resistance to weather conditions, ensuring your outdoor space remains both safe and attractive.

You can paint a flagstone patio by using a high-quality, outdoor elastomeric latex paint designed for heavy foot traffic. Painting not only refreshes the patio’s appearance but also creates a waterproof barrier that protects the stone from damage. Regular reapplication every one to two years maintains its durability and visual appeal, ensuring your patio remains both stylish and well-protected.
