"Seaside Plumbing is my go to company for quick, efficient service for my homes plumbing needs. Tom Hennessey just finished installing a new “brass ball lever water main valve” in my basement. It works so much smoother than the old plastic red tee handle main water valve."

"This went very well. The installers did a fantastic job, attention to detail. They were on time and professional. The work site was kept clean and when they finished you would never have known they were here. The salesperson knew the product and was very helpful in the process. This was not a high pressure sale which was nice for a change. I would contact them again for work to be done."

"The technician Blake was right on time. His helper Bob showed up about 20 late but they both did a great job had it completed in 2 hours. It was the first time I ever used the company and very satisfied with their work. They were working constantly the whole time and cleaned up. Also checked around with different companies and they had the best price for the job. I was charged for the labor only."

"Am a  guy who is an intermediate fix-it guy with a few exceptions.. Heating and A/C are not in my book of tricks, so depend on the pros for this type of service..  Unfortunately, in the past with A/C and heating, other repairmen sell you stuff you really didn't need, such as capacitors on the heating and A/C units.   Their cost for these parts is absolutely ridiculous.  Found out twice in the past that I was charged 4 to 5 times retail for 2 capacitors...  So, get a bit leery about repairs on my heating and A/C.  Have had estimates on new A/C units since mine is 12 years old, and wasn't top of the line to start with.  I know that sometime shortly I will probably need a new A/C unit, and will probably ask Rays for an estimate. <br /> These guys were neat, did a really good job and most of all, I trusted them.  They gave me a 10 percent Senior discount, and 37 bucks is fine with me.  They have a 30 days warranty on their work, but did not have to call them back for anything. <br /> Would definitely recommend Ray's plumbing to anyone in this area.. <br /> <br />"

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Lincoln, DE

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
