Our property needed a complete makeover due to aging, original landscaping and water intrusion in the crawlspace. KJL developed a beautiful plan for our yard. They thoroughly removed the old landscaping, including properly finishing the tree stump removal that a nationally-known firm left incomplete and concealed. KJL expertly regraded our property for good drainage and flow. They diligently solved water issues on the turf and from AC drains. KJL created big, beautiful flower beds, enriched with lots of new soil that they brought in. They also used timbers and stones to make attractive enclosures for our AC condensers and utilities. KJL is deeply experienced. Their crews were exceptional in that they NEVER cut corners. All work was done thoroughly with detail and quality. "Jeff was very responsive. He promptly returned all my calls and answered all my questions and concerns. The blue stone patio turned out beautifully. The dry creek bed has helped with the drainage and wet muddy areas of the yard after a rain. Some of the plants he installed did not do well but we had one of the hottest summers on record and that contributed to a lot of pest and disease control problems. "I’ve had difficulty finding someone to make repairs to my existing irrigation system. Everyone wants to install but not do repairs when a valve breaks or head needs replaced or there is a leak - seems to be a real shortage in the Hickory region of people who will do irrigation repairs. That was my problem until we found Austin with 828 Landscape. He is professional, a good communicator and is totally about finding the problem and fixing it. I almost hesitate to post this review because then he’ll get too busy to work on my system when I need him."
