"I was a little nervous about ordering windows on the internet using measurements I'd taken myself, but I loved the design on the website so, initially I only ordered 2 windows to check the quality, my ability to measure accurately and the company's ability to build to my measurements. Jeff, the salesman I dealt with was attentive without being overwhelming and the first order was delivered in about 4 weeks. The windows were exactly what I was looking for and fitting them was a breeze. I followed up with another order for the remaining 13 windows in my porch and again, they arrived quickly, were of great quality, exactly to size and easy to fit. Looking forward to see how they last their first winter."

"The overall experience was great. Ken is super nice and is far from being a pressure salesman. He went out of his way to make sure we had the look we had envisioned. Ken's guys are very hardworking and extremely professional. Despite the grueling heat you never saw them complaining or without smiles on their faces. They worked very quickly and took pride in their work. The siding turned out much better than I could have ever imagines and if that wasn't enough they even volunteered to do some painting and to install new lighting just so that everything about the house looked just right. Ken was also very meticulous about the work being done just right. I have never seen a more professional and just overall nice group of people. If that isn't enough believe me when I say his work speaks for itself."

"I like Allen construction!! Richard knew how to estimate, measure exactly, keep within the budget and come on time promptly, clean up completely and finish early. Richard, and his employee were very polite and considerate. He was always on time, work was quickly prepared and done promptly and he knew how to almost do anything inside or outside the house.. <br /> I have used Allen construction two time and was extremely satisfied with his work performance during and after the projects <br /> <br />"

"We called on Friday to have the carpeting in our dining/living area stretched and cleaned.  Despite having some computer problems, the receptionist was able to schedule an appointment for the next Monday between 1 and 2 PM.  Just before 1 PM on Monday, Dan called and told us that he was on the way.  He and Chris arrived by 1:15 and began their work.  We had removed most of the light furniture from the area.  Chris and Dan worked around the dining table and sofa.  They re-stretched the carpet quickly and fixed a problem with carpet attachment at the sliding door to the balcony.  The cleaning also went quickly with special attention to a couple of areas.  Dan explained everything and took extra care in repositioning the sofa for us.  The carpet was still a bit damp after 4 hours as Dan had explained and was completely dry by the next morning.  It now looks freshly installed. <br /> Dan and Chris were very professional and quick.  We would not hesitate recommending them and Duggins Services in the future. <br />"

FAQs for sunroom or patio enclosure building service projects in Little-river, AL

A sunroom is a fully enclosed space with walls of windows or glass. It allows you to enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of the indoors, protected from bugs and weather. It functions as an additional room in your home. A covered patio extends your home's roof over an outdoor area, providing shade and shelter while remaining open to the fresh air. It's a great way to enjoy outdoor living while being protected from sun and rain.

Adding screens to your porch is the most budget-friendly way to enclose it. Screening keeps out insects and debris while letting you enjoy the breeze and outdoor ambiance. It's less expensive than installing full walls or glass enclosures and doesn't usually require permits, making it an efficient way to upgrade your porch.

If you're transforming your porch into a fully enclosed living space like a sunroom, you'll likely need a sturdy foundation, such as a reinforced concrete slab, to support the structure. For a simple screened-in porch, you might be able to use the existing floor and support posts without additional foundation work. It's best to consult a professional to determine what's needed for your project.

An enclosed porch can be considered a living space if it's fully enclosed with solid walls and windows, has a proper roof, and includes heating and cooling systems. It should also have direct access from inside your home. When these criteria are met, the space becomes an extension of your home's livable area.
