"This was the 3rd time I’ve used Axium (specifically Tim Krapfl) for home inspection. Tim is very thorough, knowledgeable, and professional! I highly recommend. Tim did the home inspection, but the services also included sewer scope and radon testing."

"The company was very professional. Asbestos Professional showed up on schedule and under budget. During my kitchen and bathroom remodel, the schedule had to be changed several times due to our schedule. Asbestos was able to accommodate the changing schedule. The clean-up was perfection. We passed air quality tests in fly colors. Personnel communicated every step of the way. I would definitely use them again."

"I am very happy with my choice of Distinct Painting. they were all friendly, easy to work with, and professional. they quickly and easily responded to my questions and quickly worked out small questions to my satisfaction. they used an excellent quality of paint. the quality of their work was excellent. the fee charged may be a little higher than some others, but I think it was fair for the quality for the overall services they provided. I highly recommend them and I would use them again."

"We had recently purchased a house and were looking to ultimately re-do the basement. Given the age of the house (built in 1912), we knew there would be asbestos SOMEWHERE in the house and testing showed that a good portion of the basement tile (which had just been carpeted over) was asbestos. We bid the project out to three different providers and got estimates all over the place - from about $2000 to upwards of $10,000. At first, we were a little hesitant to go with the lower-cost option because asbestos removal is nothing to skimp on. However, after talking with John about their process and the precautions they take, we felt comfortable going with them. Once we were scheduled, everything went very smoothly: they were on time, professional, thorough, and completed the job in the time allotted (even finishing a little earlier than we expected). John came to get them set up, and then left the work to two guys. We selected an independent company to do an air clearance test and Eco Tech coordinated the visit once they were done with the work. In addition to passing them, the testing company said that they had never worked with Eco Tech before and were very impressed with the removal job. Overall, we had a great experience with Eco Tech and would definitely recommend them."

"<p>Asbestos Abatement, Inc. couldn't have been better. It was great working with them. Obviously, having exposed asbestos in your home is stressful. When my restoration company found the asbestos, they contacted Asbestos Abatement, Inc. The team arrived on time and were prepared, which was really of comfort to me. The team was also so kind and courteous. They were just genuinely friendly and nice to talk to. They explained everything to me and made sure I understood--which isn't easy because I have cognition problems, so they sometimes had to repeat things to me. They were always patient. </p> <p>They started the job on a Friday. The area was going to be cordoned off through Saturday, early afternoon. I had been so stressed out since the flood that had done so much damage to my house. I knew that the first thing I wanted to do after 5 pm on a Friday was have much-needed drink, but the bar was taped off. One member of the team asked me what to get, ran in and got it all for me. So nice. They even asked me what time I wanted them to come back in the morning in case I didn't feel that well! And they were great when they arrived the next morning. Since, as promised, I did not look/feel that great, they gently told me to please go back to bed, that they would take care of everything.</p> <p>Couldn't recommend the company more highly.</p> <p><br /></p>"

FAQs for toxic lead testing projects in Livermore, CO

If your home was built before 1978, there’s a strong chance it contains lead-based paint. Many pre-1980 houses also contain lead in their plumbing and decorative materials, so age alone is a significant red flag. Older homes near industrial areas face an even higher risk. Because you can’t confirm lead by sight, scheduling a test is the safest way to protect your family.

In older houses, lead can lurk in painted trim, window sashes, soil around the foundation, plumbing pipes, and even vintage hardware. The metal is toxic, and children and pregnant women are most at risk. Exposure can trigger developmental delays, learning problems, and organ damage. Because the EPA links even low levels to serious health effects, test every suspected surface and address any hazards right away.

A positive test means lead is present somewhere you can touch, breathe, or disturb. The next step is a full risk assessment to map exactly where the hazard lies and outline the safest fix: encapsulation, enclosure, or full removal. Repairs start at $1,000 but can exceed $10,000 for complete elimination, so act quickly and hire certified pros to keep your family safe.

EPA lead certification proves that inspectors, risk assessors, and abatement contractors follow federal safety rules under the Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Program. The credential costs an average of $300, and certified professionals can legally test, contain, or remove lead hazards. Hiring a certified pro protects you from fines and ensures the work meets strict health standards.

Lead-based paint looks no different from any other paint, so you can’t identify it by color or sheen. Even flawless walls may hide it. If paint starts chipping, flaking, or peeling, schedule a professional test right away. Only laboratory-grade testing confirms lead and guides the safest fix for your home.
