We contacted four vendors (two of whom we had used before).  Our install was a bit tricky, and some companies would not even quote the job.  Mike was the most responsive, and gave us the most options.  I researched third party reviews on the product lines he proposed.  All seemed to have good reviews.  This is really hard to find in either windows or sliding doors!  During the sales process he was informative and presented several options, but absolutely no high pressure.  So easy and pleasant to work with. The installer was very professional and really knew what he was doing. 

We are very pleased with both the quality of the door and the installation.  We would not hesitate to use Mike again

"Outstanding. Wes, the owner of WS Construction, was extremely thorough during the quoting process and made us confident that he would perform the work exactly as desired by us. The job itself was slightly complex due to the way the trellis was attached to the side of the house and needed detail finishing work to the siding/soffit/eves to ensure a professional look and functional water and bug proofing. He also did some minor gutter repair work. Wes and his crew came in at the scheduled time, did the work as promised and also gave us an extremely good price. The main difference between Wes and the other companies we quoted from, is that he himself quotes and does the job. So the possibility of communication gaps does not exist. I will not hesitate to employ Wes again. I wish I could give him an A++."

"The entire experience went very well. Dennis Knoph responded quickly to my request for an estimate -- spending a lot time listening to my requests (like fixing holes in aluminum siding as part of prep) and addressing my concerns (like covering my roof solar panels to make sure no paint spray drifted on to them). He adjusted the written email quote a couple of times in response to other items (like no power washing in a breezeway). Unlike other companies that either wouldn't do the work or were hesitant about the outcome (like repairing holes in the siding), MHI was confident that they had the experience to do the work and could tell me what to expect. MHI did not disappoint. I also like the fact that MHI quoted an all-inclusive cost -- no unknown add-ons for paint, other materials, etc. MHI assign Bill and his crew to do the job. Bill is very knowledgeable and ran a "tight ship". They got the job done quickly and efficiently. Not only does the paint job look great, I appreciated all the extra things that they just handled as matter of doing the job that I was not aware needed to be done -- like filling some holes in a Pella sliding glass door that I knew had wood rotting but didn't expect them to do anything and providing completely new shutter fasteners since my 50-year old fasteners were in no shape to be used to put the shutters back up. After a couple of weeks, they came back promptly to my request to paint the inside of a storm door that everyone including myself had missed. I would have no hesitation in using MHI in the future for other work."

"GoTo Roofing did a major siding project on my 19th century house in the late summer of 2023. This place has a long history and thus many issues that needed to be fixed prior to placing siding. GoTo Roofing did a fantastic job in all aspects!! From the initial meeting with Alden (one of their project assessors) to the day to day work with Mickey and his team I couldn't be happier. My project was more complicated that most and took a few weeks due to the amount of repair work needed. Mickey and his crew kept me up to date every day with what was going on and status. Every night before the crew left they packed up their tools and materials and made sure the areas were clear of debris!! "I've had Rick out to my house twice to quote me for siding. I have found him to be very honest and have the most intregrity of the 3-4 for siding contractors that have come out to quote me. The first time he came out he recommended I find a handyman to repair my existing siding. He was of the opinion that we could buy ourselves a few more years with the repair work of a good handyman and then re-side down the road. I planned on taking advice until we found mold and my wife became concerned that there was mold behind out siding. I asked RIcked to come back out and quote me for vinyl siding, gutters, and aluminum trim. He gave me the best quote of any other siding contractor. He also really made me feel like I could trust the work and quality of A-1. We are still undecided if we will reside this year or a few years down the road but when we do we will almost certainly go with A-1 Roofing and Siding"
