"The workers were excellent: professional, timely, and quite expert in their work. I want to mention Carlos as the supervisor; Jesse and Santos did just an excellent job with the installation. Despite the initial improper installation of the countertop of another installer, they took care to make sure the countertop did not crack when they removed it and provided a sub top and sub frame (the sub top and sub frame the initial installer failed to provide) to protect the countertop in the reinstallation. I will wholeheartedly and unreservedly recommend Infinite Empire Stone for any work in your home or business."

"I hired Manuel of D Soto Stone to remodel 3 bathrooms, kitchen, living room, the den/office, laundry Room, & my bar. They were outstanding from start to finish & the tile work fit & finish was impeccable. Manuel was very professional, respectful, & attentive to every detail. He coordinated everything and worked seamlessly with my cabinet makers, shower door and mirror installers, plumber and electrician. They made most of the remodel while I was out of state & I felt perfectly secure & grew a trust with Manuel. They brought my vision to life while offering creative, cost-effective solutions to challenges that popped up. The project was completed on time and within budget. They kept workspaces clean and organized every single day. Working with Manuel was a great experience and was incredibly communicative throughout the entire process, providing daily updates and quickly responding to any questions I had. I highly recommend Manuel of D Soto Stone & would definitely hire him again."
FAQs for stone slab countertops installation (granite, marble, quartz, etc) projects in Loma Linda, CA

Soapstone countertops are durable, environmentally friendly, easy to maintain, non-porous, heat-resistant, and naturally antibacterial. They resist stains and cracks, making them a practical and long-lasting choice. However, soapstone has limited color options and can have visible seams in larger installations. It may also scratch or chip if not handled carefully and tends to have a higher initial cost than other materials. Overall, if you're looking for a functional and aesthetically pleasing countertop, soapstone is a solid choice despite these minor drawbacks.

Soapstone countertops typically come in light to dark gray, often with blue or green undertones. One of the unique features of soapstone is that it deepens in color over time, developing a rich patina that adds to its charm. Each slab is unique, with natural streaks and veining that become more pronounced as the countertop ages, giving your kitchen or bathroom a dynamic and evolving look.

With proper care, soapstone countertops can last 50 years or more. Regular cleaning with mild detergents and occasional applications of mineral oil to enhance the natural patina will keep your countertops looking beautiful. Thanks to its durable nature, soapstone stands up well for daily use, making it a wise long-term investment for your home.

Sealing isn't necessary for soapstone countertops. Soapstone is naturally non-porous and antibacterial, resists stains, and doesn't harbor bacteria. While you don't need to seal it, applying mineral oil occasionally can enhance its natural beauty and help develop a rich patina over time. This simple maintenance keeps your countertop looking its best for years to come.
