"It went OK. The estimate was done, very timely and professional. However, the actual repair was later in the day than expected. They did do what I asked. To Put the fence back up. However, they simply propped it up with T- posts on my neighbors side. Just expected more. They did tell me you could be a temporary repair. It was a Friday afternoon . So timing is short. This is a very temporary repair."

"Used gravel from parking pad without permission and when replaced at end of job only a partial replacement in terms of thickness. Would not move drainage pipe when pointed out there would be a problem with tree roots in a few years Any landscaper could see this would be an issue. Machinery put stress cracks in drive."

"<p>During the purchase process of our new home we noticed that the driveway had large pools of water on it and that there were signs of water on an interior wall which was below grade. Remedy Foundation Repair was contracted to correct both problem areas. </p> <p>Regarding the driveway, they demolished the old one, prepared the site for the new driveway with rebar and forms for a correct slope away from the home, arranged for the pouring of the concrete, and cut the lines into the new driveway. We have had a LOT of rain since the new driveway was installed and the water runs away quickly. The driveway work was quoted and delivered at $12,568. </p> <p>The water signs on the interior wall were evaluated to be a combination of factors in and around the patio, all of which were addressed. 3and quot; grated troughs were installed all around the patio to drain water away from the house and foundation. One downspout had roots growing in it causing water to not drain and then overflow the gutter. It was cleared and a new French drain attached to carry the water away to the end of the driveway. A second downspout was leaving a large pool in the yard and was connected to the French drain as well. A third downspout was routed directly into the trough system. All of the gutters and downspouts (and birds nests) around the patio were cleared and two improperly installed gutter guards were removed. In addition the patio was cleaned, sealed, and regrouted to prevent absorption of water which could leach into the foundation or home. Thus far there have been no signs of water in the interior and the patio has no standing water during storm. This work was quoted and delivered at $5950. </p> <p>We did have some problems with scheduling, although some of that is on us. Due to requirements of the mortgage company we had to get the work done prior to closing, so we REALLY pushed them on the deadlines. They were pleasant to deal with and very personable. All of the workers were friendly and seemed trustworthy. We do have plans to do further business with Remedy once our renovations reach that point. </p> <br />"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Longview, TX

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
