I did the due diligence, made a LOT of phone calls to get estimates and referrals. After receiving astronomical bids from local plumbers decided to focus on water heater contractors. Maverick was the first and last contacted due to professional first impression, excellent and expedient communications, stellar reviews, availability and very fair pricing. I really liked that Steve is independent vs. franchise owned. It seemed too good to be true so verified his license with CA State, yes he was listed. Install was scheduled for Monday but when tenants called frantic that the leak was escalating, Steve responded by bumping install date up to Saturday. Today was install day. Steve was dependable, timely and got to work immediately. The Above and Beyond was deserved for first draining/uninstall defective unit, transporting it to Home Depot for warranty exchange then delivering replacement unit back to residence. I inadvertently selected the wrong replacement unit, Steve had to turn around to Home Depot and again go through the return process. Steve takes pride in his work, it is clear due to his experience and licensed status he wants to get the job done to code and right. He re-routed the piping to outside and leveled the water heater with shims at no extra charge. I love meticulous attention to detail. It's no wonder when I asked about Diamond Certification sticker on his van he informed me his previous employer was Diamond Certified, more affirmation of experience under highest standards. It feels good to know the time invested to research during selection process paid off and a good decision was made. BONUS: His sidekick is his young Welsh Springer Spaniel named Sam, just adorable."

"Vincent and his assistant Sergei took on a difficult job of installing a stove top and a downdraft fan that posed some challenges of fitting into an existing counter space. An installer sent by the dealer failed at this task but they were careful and creative in finding solutions. We appreciated the attention to detail and their hard work - and the result was fabulous. "I found Build the Bay through Angi’s List and I’m so glad we went with them for our bathroom update/remodel! Working with Eitan and his team was like night and day compared to other contractors I have worked with in the past. Specifically what I appreciated is that he treated me with respect and would take the time to explain in layman’s terms what was needed. (I’m not a construction pro by any means.) Eitan even shared a list of vendors that he has worked with in the past for materials and finishes, as well as a checklist to ensure I ordered all the finishing pieces in time. He would even be willing to review any products I was interested in to let me know if it was good quality. It’s only normal for unexpected issues to come up during construction, and what was also great is how communicative Eitan and his team were with me. They would quickly let me know what the issue was, explain what my options were, the cost for each, and what those options would mean in the long run. Eitan always responded very promptly via email or text if I had any questions or requested any updates. Our project has been done for about a month now and I have to say that I strongly feel like Eitan and his team delivered high quality bathrooms in a timely manner.
