"It went terrific and I sadly never say that about working with folks in the trades. JP was highly responsive to my request for quotes and questions. He gave me a quote that was both specific and detailed. He worked with me a little on price and deposit. His team showed up at my house to the minute of when he said that they would. They moved quickly and minimized damage to lawn, mulch beds, and sprinklers. He worked with me to address my concerns about cracks in the prior driveway, tieing the driveway into both the garage and the apron, and tieing the driveway and the sidewalk together. At every step of the way (grade, gravel depth, concrete depth) JP checked in with me and had me approve it before he went to the next step. Not sure if this was his normal practice or another instance of him working with me to allay my concerns. Whichever...... it sure worked for me. I had thought it would take two days....... they were out by 3pm on day one. As JP said, this wasn't their first driveway. I know of at least two other driveways in my neighborhood that he has done. All the homeowners are highly satisfied."

"Ground Effects, lead by the owner, Josh Bono performed in an outstanding manner in all categories. This was a MAJOR project and Josh guided us through it all with outstanding ideas and presented us with great options. He is extremely detailed and wanted the outcome to be as perfect as possible. After excavating the whole area, He built a permanent structure with wall blocks into an L-shaped bar 10 feet by 10.5 feet. Additional blocks were installed on the 10.5 length to accommodate a 14 ft granite overhang. He carefully planned for the built in BBQ ;grill in the bar wall as well as 2 sets of doors and a set of drawers. He built (2) 7 feet angled seat walls with wall block with bull nose on top of seats. He installed 12 lights that outline the bar on all sides (front and back) and lights under the bull nose on the seat walls. After preparing the area for the new pavers, he designed a plan for the pavers using 3 sizes and strategically installed in a beautiful pattern. Result was pavers look like beautiful STONE He also installed 8 lights in the pavers also outlining the entire 3 sides of the patio. The finished product is beautiful, only enhanced by the lights at night. When the patio was finished, here he came with beautiful sod and mulch and they completely finished the lawn around the patio that looks better than before they started the work. Josh cares about his work and his client; We feel we really lucked out by finding Ground Effects to do our project. His is work is 5 star and he is very customer oriented and nice person. Can't say enough about the finished project.!"

"I was looking to remove an old paver patio and replace a poorly constructed concrete step on an outdoor patio and found Salzano Custom Concrete via Google. CJ Salzano himself came to the house to review the project and I was extremely impressed with CJ, his professionalism, how he took the time to walk me through all options without pressuring, and was very responsive answering all of my questions. The quote was reasonable (we obtained four quotes) and included demo/dump fees for all of the removed pavers and concrete, which some other companies tried to have me do on my own instead of using their own teams. His team was able to start the project within a week or so of signing the contract and they worked carefully and quickly. "Our patio is wonderful!! We had Luisa come to our home to look at where we wanted to install a patio and walkways. She surveyed our area, took measurements, worked with us to design the shape and then while we looked at photos of past work, she worked on an estimate and we had everything we needed to make a decision the same day. We scheduled our installation and went to the showroom to pick out a pattern and colors, everyone was VERY friendly and easy to work with. We changed our minds on the stone we selected before our installation date and the office staff was VERY courteous and helpful and nice, especially when I called and emailed numerous times with questions. THEY WERE GREAT. <br /> What I didn't like was after our patio was finished. The crew left, and we had no idea when they were coming back to finish, then workers would just show up and do something, but we had no idea if it was done or not. I would have preferred to have been more informed on the process and steps and when workers would be coming. It would have been nice to have one main contact at the office, who could have let us know what was happening and when it was planned. <br />"

"This project had a very tight building area in an high security/ high tech office building courtyard which required that they (Hemax)move all of heavy equipment and material (bobcats, steel, concrete pipes, excavated soil and concrete) through a finish hallway. The tolerance for accuracy in the pad construction was very small and they had to do it in extremely cold weather. Hemax performed flawlessly and on time. Hemax is not the least expensive option but they are very detail oriented, well organized, specific in their estimates and paperwork, maintain clean worksites do their jobs right and above all are nice people!"
