"GUEST BEDROOM DOORS; i never actually hired kelo s, i had set up appointments with 4 different handy men so that i could interview each of them to see who was best suited for my project. i never got to interview anyone. mr dixon came for his appointment and said that he could complete both projects by the end of the day. i was thrilled. i asked if i could velle the payment to him when the projects were completed. he said he would prefer cash. we discussed what i wanted and he headed to home depot to pick up what we had seen on the website. he returned in about an hour and a half. from the moment he arrived he showed me video s of older people taking supplements that he sold and wanted me to try them. i kept on refusing, not interested i told him over and over. anyway, he came back with supplies from home depot and began work some time after that. he hung the doors using his rusty tools and installed a slide lock on the back of the door. the tread that was on the floor was removed and never reinstalled and the bottom of the doors were not trimmed so that the tread would fit back into place. i thought everything was okay, not perfect, not as i expected, but i had two hung doors. i was pretty happy. the doors were unfinished so i knew i had to hire someone or paint or varnish the doors. some other time. some time after that some of my sisters came over to check out my doors. in about two minutes they started pointing out all these things that were wrong with the install of the doors. the hinges were only partially installed. one hinge was only attached to one part of the door. most of the hinges were missing a screw or were stripped. the slide lock also had stripped screws. the doors do not have interlocking handles. they are just dummy handles. my sisters took the slide lock off the back of the door. MASTER BEDROOM DOOR; i told mr dixon that the door had previously closed, but was always a bit tight. i said the door needed to be planed or rehung in order for it to close correctly. i was not really paying a whole lot of attention to what he was doing, this was before my sisters pointed out the faults in the guest bedroom doors. i did not know how shoddy his work was. he had a crow bar type thing that he brought to try to wedge the door back into place. i did not see him use it. instead he took off the door trim, while breaking and mostly destroying it, and tried to put it back together with a caulking gun (rusty too). mostly all his tools were rusty. i m not even sure what exactly he did. pieces are broken and nailed and caulked back together. the nail holes were never concealed and he dripped a large amount of caulking on the wall and tried unsuccessfully to wipe it off. now there is a swatch of caulking wiped onto the wall. it looks like he moved the intercepting piece where the door latches shut. another crappy unprofessional piece of work. before he started working on anything he had a lot to say about how good and creative he is. and…he never stopped trying to sell these supplements to me. had me watch videos about them. after my sisters came and showed me the faults in the guest bedroom doors, i contacted mr dixon by text and asked him what he was doing and why he left such a mess, he asked if i wanted him to come back and take a look and fix it. i told him no. there is no way i want him back in my house to ruin more of my house than he already has. also, i am pretty sure that he intentionally broke the toilet so that he could fix it."

"Let Jose know my budget was $2500. After going back and forth I agreed to $2800. After they started work I was asked to fix additional items. Examples: There we 2 sprinkler heads that were broken ($40, per head). That turned to 4 springler heads. The charge was $475 for that. I have three small back yard entrances where white stones were put down. That charge was $900. I was told the sprinkler timer was only working on one zone and needed to be replaced. He indicated the digital ones could be up to $800. I said I wanted nothing fancy. Timer was not replaced. I thought this was included. The palm trees were supporsed to be trimmed as they were touching the house. As they were leaving I had to reimind them about this. The total cost went from $2800 to $5000+. I felt the prices were high based on agreement of $2800 budget, even with additional items. I had a irrigation specialist come and he said the timer is not broken or stuck in zone one."

"Shelly came to look over our landscaping and give us a budget to redesign and install new landscaping. She was very condescending, making insulting comments about the existing pavers and landscaping. I asked where she would ballpark our job. She said over $100,000. We have a 3000 s.f. house on probably 1/8 acre lot. Smallish. I was floored by her estimate and her attitude about our home, which looks the same as the other 25 homes in my subdivision. And they all are well kept and look good. Also, they all look the same, so I have no idea why she thought I would/could change the look of my pavers and driveway when every house she drove by on the way in looks exactly the same. Maybe she quoted that high of a number because she didn't want the job. But no need to be insulting. I texted her to tell her we're going in a different direction because her budget was too high, and she never responded. Seemed like a bother for her to come here and she thought she was above the neighborhood. I don't recommend talking to her."

"Fast and reliable! They fixed our irrigation system and knew exactly what was wrong as soon as we described the issue. Problem was fixed quickly, Curtis was great and very careful about covid rules. Price was less than we expected so altogether a great experience! I recommend them highly!"

FAQs for lawn and garden sprinkler system installation projects in Loxahatchee, FL

While drip irrigation systems have higher upfront costs, they can save you money in the long run. By delivering water directly into the soil with minimal evaporation and runoff, drip irrigation systems conserve water and improve efficiency. This means better performance and results for your landscaping, and cost savings over the system's lifespan.

Yes, irrigation systems can add value to your home, especially when installed with high-quality materials and a solid design. A well-irrigated landscape enhances curb appeal and can attract potential buyers. However, poor design or installation may reduce performance and even decrease your property's value. Hiring an expert for installation and performing regular maintenance is key to securing the long-term benefits.

A local irrigation professional can help you check your drip irrigation system to make sure it's in good shape. You'll want to make sure the water pressure is in a good range, repair any leaks as soon as possible, and cover the cost to winterize your sprinkler system as recommended by your irrigation contractor.

A drip irrigation system lasts between 10 and 15 years. This lifespan is determined by the quality of materials, the precision of installation, and regular professional maintenance. Unlike traditional sprinkler systems that can last up to 50 years, the thinner piping used in drip systems is more sensitive to UV exposure and environmental wear. Proper upkeep and timely repairs enhance durability and ensure consistent irrigation performance.

Drip irrigation is best suited for plant beds, containers, greenhouses, and row crops. It supplies water directly to individual plants, ensuring precise moisture control where it is needed most. For areas with simple layouts, above-ground systems work efficiently, while subsurface installations may be cost-prohibitive in spaces with extensive tree roots or irregular terrain. Proper planning maximizes the benefits of drip irrigation across a variety of applications.
