I did what everyone should do and got 3 estimates and chose Call Mr Fixit because he displayed exceptional knowledge of the work process, listened to what I wanted, offered great suggestions and presented himself as the most capable and experienced contractor. <br />Dennis showed on time like all the others but his initial assessment was far more in depth and here is why. <br />1 Dennis looked at the job and offered several suggestions many of which I opted for. His input was based on current market trends that would increase the value of my home and and stayed within the parameters of what we wanted. <br />2 Dennis took the time to explain what had to be done at each step of the remodel process and explained what problems we could find during the process. No other contractors offered this information which negated any surprises. <br />3 Dennis then wrote the estimate on site with a complete list or "scope of work" to be done and prices. None of the other contractors could provide this information on site. <br />4 Dennis let me know up front that add on projects (and there were a few) would not be an issue. He was very professional and very easy to work with. <br />5 most importantly Dennis's estimates were spot on! No surprises. <br /> <br />When work day came everyone showed on time and went straight to work. It was like a military operation which was no surprise as Dennis is a retired Command Sergeant Major. The Call Mr Fixit crew is polite, professional and efficient. The guys were very easy going and personable. I am not only very happy with their work, work ethic, and attention to details but also enjoyed their company. Just good people you won't mind having in your home. <br /> <br />If you are looking for hard working skilled professionals then this is the company to call but you better hurry because as soon as my old house sells I plan to have them working in my new home for a couple months. "At first it appeared that the structure had been fixed. Within 6 months, the cracks in the bricks have reappeared. I am not sure that the piers were really fixed. They told me that the house needed a new moisture barrier and a dehumidifier under the house. The dehumidifier ran non-stop for weeks and I no longer hear it running, even during all the wet weather occuring lately. I would not hire this company for pier repair again. That was an expensive mistake on my part."

"Demo, framing and installation of windows and door went well. Installation of siding matched existing siding. The major issue was the trim around all of the windows inside. I was not happy the way they looked all along but I accepted as is, rather than having them completely remove and charge more to correct. Once they finished, I then completely removed all the trim and did it myself."

He seemed very honest, the guys that came with him were very nice and respectful. They painted the facet that they replaced which I did not expect them to do. "The car arrived in pristine condition and on time. The driver was professional and friendly. My only concern was lack of communication once the car left the dealership. The dealership called me to tell me the car was picked up and then I heard nothing until a knock on the door from the driver of the transport truck. Since the car arrived within 24 hours of leaving MD, the communication part wasn't a big deal. On a longer cross country trip that would have been a concern.
