I contacted Kickin' Asphalt to bid a job of replacing a driveway and associated parking pads that were deteriorating due to an unstable base and poor initial installation by the general contractor when the house was built 15 years ago. The owner of Kickin' Asphalt was very responsive and gave me what I considered a extremely fair and honest appraisal of what would be required to fix the driveway. I agreed to accept his bid and he and his crew arrived on site the next day at the agreed hour. Once the process of removing the existing concrete driveway it became apparent that the base soil was very unstable and the blacktop paving that we had agreed upon would not be the durable driveway that I wanted. The owner carefully explained the situation and proposed a workable solution that would be more durable and cost effective. The work progressed smoothly and the owner kept me updated on each phase of the work. The work was finished quickly and I am very satisfied that this project came in on time and under budget. "They arrived on time. They explained that there would be a few delays since some family members had tasks at other locations but that they would finish that day. What took me three days and 11 bags of debris the year before, they did it in about 3 hours.
They weed-eated and killed the weeds on the entire driveway. Then they successfully backed the asphalt truck down my very narrow driveway. They applied and spread the tar. Then they brought in a front loader and spread the pea gravel which was supposed to stick to the tar. I admit that I had my doubts! But I was mollified when they brought in a roller and I watched them and quot;pressand quot; the pea gravel into the tar.
I've owned this house for about 12 years and the driveway has never looked better. I drove on it about an hour after they left. Billy was right. No gravel kicked up when I backed out of the garage.
We did the whole thing on a handshake. I explained how I could and would pay them and they accepted the terms.
Personally, I wish we had more companies like this. Where our word is our bond.

"I sent a request through his website asking for an estimate to resurface my garage floor. Mark called the next day and quoted my a price of $3 per square foot. he was able to schedule the work to begin the next Monday. Mark arrived at the scheduled time and began work that day. He completed the first day's work in about 5 hours and told me that he would be back the next day to apply a clear coat finish. He completed the clear coat the next day in about an hour and the job was finished. He gave me instructions for allowing the surface to dry and clean and care for the future. I have moved my storage items back into the garage and the epoxy flooring is great.

I would recommend Mark to anyone looking to resurface their garage.
