Small jobs welcome

"Dave installed kitchen faucet, and is repairing my Island drawers. He will also be giving me a price to build an outdoor deck, fix some doors in the house and some other projects that I have not even thought of yet. He cleans everything up when finished, and my dog even liked him. Good Guy."

"We were extremely pleased with the work Kurt did on our house. He replaced the rotting wooden trim around four of our windows, replaced sections of our siding which were in rough shape, fixed a soffit and fascia that were water-damaged due to a poorly set up gutter, and a few other smaller repairs. The quality of his work was excellent, and so was his work ethic and communication. He was also very good about pointing out things that he found during the course of the work which were either done improperly before, or were a good idea to fix along with what else was being done. He always contacted us with a description (usually with a photo) and an estimate of the cost of any additional work. He was very courteous, punctual and not at all pushy. We would definitely recommend him, and will gladly call him again for our future projects."

Customers say: Quick response

"John is the single best communicator of any contractor we have worked within the last 30 years, including multiple additions and major renovation projects. That great communication would be reason enough to recommend him, but John goes above and beyond to make sure everything he said he would do get done as and when he said it would be done. For that, we are very grateful. Specifically for our Guilford, CT finished basement renovation project, John started demolition on a Saturday because we were on a short time frame to get the work done in time to list the house for sale in early September. He said it would take 2 - 3 weeks and it took 2 weeks and 2 days. he said he would keep us updated and he called and/or texted every day as to what was going on. And the finished work was exactly as was promised in terms of fit, finish, and quality. J and Ps price was fair for the scope of work, the time constraints for getting it done, and the quality of the finished project. We would certainly hire J and P again and highly recommend them to you!"

"George and his team did an exceptional job converting a former "man cave" room into a gorgeous playroom space in a new home. They replaced and redid all of the trim, created a bookshelf, and restored a closet to its former glory. They also painted the space! We were so impressed with their work and highly recommend them!"

FAQs for interior trim and decorative moldings repair projects in Madison, CT

While the terms 'trim' and 'molding' are often used interchangeably, they serve different purposes in home design. Trim refers to materials installed at the junctions of walls, ceilings, and floors, providing a seamless and functional transition. Molding, on the other hand, is a decorative type of trim crafted specifically to enhance your interior's visual appeal. For personalized recommendations that match your home's style, consult a professional contractor.

Repairing or replacing trim throughout your entire home takes six hours. If you're focusing on just a single room or a small section, you can expect the project to take one to two hours to complete. The process includes removing the old trim, carefully measuring and cutting new pieces, and precisely installing them to achieve a polished and lasting result.

Selecting the right trim is key to enhancing your home's overall design. Common options include shoe molding, quarter-round, baseboards, crown molding, chair rails, and picture rails. The best choice depends on where you're installing it, your personal style preferences, and your budget. Consulting a knowledgeable contractor can help you find the perfect trim to elevate your interior's appearance.
