"The owner of the company initially took about two hours of his time giving us an initial quote, carefully explaining everything as he went and even giving advice on selling our home, home inspection, etc. He was very patient in his explanations in persons and price negotiations by email, despite the fact that we're newbies (only buying our second home) and had a lot of dumb questions and kept changing our mind about what we could afford to do in the house. Their priced are very fair for the high quality of work they do, and I'd pay more just to have the lack of stress of dealing with such a hassle free company. They are a company with several crews, so it isn't just one guy in charge of his own schedule who can't help at all if he's booked. There are a lot of guys who can come work, so when I told them that my home repairs had to get done fast, they were the only ones I could find in town who were able to accommodate that. The crews that showed up worked quickly and competently. With this company, you don't have to worry that they won't show up - you have to worry that they'll show up while you're still in your pajamas! Awesome. The guys on the crew seemed like really genuinely good guys. They all chatted the whole time they worked, and never once did I hear foul language or unsavory talk. On the contrary, it was nice to hear the more experienced workers mentoring the younger ones with advice and information on everything from how to remove dirt dauber's nests, to relationships, to the latest discoveries about a creature that can survive the vacuum of space! Ha! I was especially appreciative of their wholesome talk since I have a toddler who repeats everything he hears! As for the work itself, it was excellent. I couldn't give a good enough review. Everything was done quickly and competently. In short, they came very well recommended to us, but still managed to all our expectations. Thanks, Round Da House!!!"

"Chris Goolsby came by the day after contact and evaluated the initial job. He returned the next morning with a written estimate. Once an agreement was made and a starting date was agreed on; he and his crew showed up every morning around 8 am. They worked quickly, neatly, and with a minimum of disruption. Each new proposal for additional work (always on my part), was accepted graciously and a new written estimate was provided for each additional request I made. What he had planned on taking 1 week ended up stretching into 2 and 1/2 weeks; primarily because I found more and more for them to do. The woodwork they did was exceptional; the new cabinet they built looks exactly like the others. The paint on the walls, trim and ceilings looks very nice. Overall we were very pleased with our experience and we will not hesitate to use them again for any home remodeling needs."

"Kenny is a master worker.  Knowledgeable in (what seems to be) everything, he and his nephew knocked out this huge job in a very timely fashion, especially considering that they did every bit of the work themselves.  He listened to everything we wanted and worked around all of the problems that he found.  The pantry he built was incredible, and everything was built in a first-rate way. <br /> <br /> Contacting him was an issue sometimes, since he rarely answered his telephone and doesn't do email (as far as I can tell), although he usually called back in a timely fashion."

"Within (1) week, Mr. Jenkins and his crew were onsite. They were always there by 7am each morning and usually gone by 6. They cleaned up behind themselves daily. I was in awe at the speed to which the room was added but absolutely amazed at how the room didn't look any different than my mobile home from the ouside or inside, Mr. Jenkins and his crew made sure the colors matched perfectly and the new roof looked great. I was very impressed that they didn't just "attach" a room, but instead pulled the siding off my home and tied in the new room with new siding and the new roof. They did all the electrical work, interior and exterior paint work, laid hard wood flooring, installed the windows and new roof. I was just very pleased with their work. Mr. Jenkins and his crew were very professional, cleaned up after themselves and finished relatively quick. My little boy is very happy with his very own room!! FYI: The closet they built was very large and had lots of shelves. <br />"

FAQs for cabinets reface projects in Madison, MS

Absolutely. Refacing returns 65% to 80% of your investment at resale, and you get an updated kitchen right now. Because you’re not paying for new boxes or demo work, the price lands well below complete replacement but still delivers a fresh, custom look that buyers—and you—notice every time you walk in.

To trim costs, start by pricing a high-quality paint or gel stain instead of full refacing—stain alone can be one-third the price of full refacing. Keep existing hinges and pulls if they’re in good shape, and shop sales for sandpaper, primer, and sealer. The sweat equity is real, but so are the savings, and a careful DIY job can still leave your cabinets looking sharp for years to come.

A professional crew needs only three to five days to reface a standard kitchen, although a larger layout or intricate door style may add one to two days. Compare that with the several weeks a full cabinet swap can drag on. In other words, you get your space back fast, often before the paint on the new doors is even fully cured.

Yes, you can replace just the cabinet doors and drawer fronts without covering the cabinet boxes. Cabinet refacing involves installing new doors and drawer fronts while applying veneers to existing cabinet boxes. If you’re satisfied with the condition of your cabinets, swapping doors and drawer fronts reduces labor and materials, saving you time and cost. Always consult a professional to confirm compatibility and ensure a seamless, high-quality finish.

Most cabinet refacing projects do not require removing countertops because professionals can access doors and drawers around existing surfaces. However, if your countertop overhang prevents full access to the cabinet boxes, contractors may need to lift the countertop to install veneers properly temporarily. Discuss this with your refacing specialist during the on-site estimate so you know exactly what the project entails.
