"We've used Troll Home Maintenance and Makeover so many times since moving into our house almost four years ago that Tom and Trudi are practically on speed dial now. We've never been disappointed. What we appreciate most is their ability to think outside the box and come up with creative solutions for difficult dilemmas, which they almost always have to do with our older house that has layers and years worth of DIY projects that have to be undone before work can proceed. I don't even know how to label this latest projectâ I went with tiles because that's how it ended up. We started with new appliances for the kitchen. The appliance delivery team discovered they couldn't remove our old dishwasher due to a questionable DIY install. I immediately called Tom. He got on the phone with the appliance guy, I sent him a picture of the problem, and he knew right away what was wrong. I don't fully understand how he fixed it, but he did. At the same time, he also noticed our water line for the new fridge was not up to code and needed to be replaced, plus the area for the fridge would need more ventilation for the newer, larger fridge to work properly, things the appliance consultant didn't notice and that would have likely caused big problems. Tom took care of both of those issues and the new fridge now works like a charm. Finally, the new, sleeker microwave left a chunk of exposed wall that had been covered up with the old, clunkier microwave. Of course, the tile in the kitchen is no longer available. Rather than replace all of the tile, which is in good condition, Tom found some contrasting tile that complements the kitchen decor and cut out a spot to make a decorative back-splash area underneath the microwave and over the stove. The result is fabulous!"
