"I received my radon results in a timely manner. I did not hire them specifically, (so, I cannot say I would hire them again) the local company contracted them for this service. The home inspector I hired, handled this service for me and included the results in his report."

"They have been great. They cover all appliances, heating, air, and plumbing. It is $60 for an initial visit to have a ticket open. They basically fix whatever the problem is, but any secondary damage, like in my case. I had a pipe burst. They helped me with the pipes, but all of the flooding, I had to go through my homeowners insurance as a result of that. It is a little bit of paperwork, but it has been working well for me.  <br /> <br /> I didn't do a whole lot of comparison shopping. The first year of service was a gift from my real estate agent. I don't think the price has been awful for what they have covered. I have just had great service and had no reason to change."

"I am so pleased with my water softener and reverse osmosis from Alpine Water Tech. I was given a senior discount on top of a really competitive price, and my annual cost to change the R.O. filters is very reasonable. They have never been pushy or dishonest, which I really appreciate. I have had friends who have been taken advantage of by a different water company, so I was glad to be referred to Alpine Water Tech. <br />"

"Rescue Rooter was able to have a plumber at our house within about two hours. In our circumstance this time frame was acceptable. People were all going to bed so no one was flushing any more toilets to make the problem worse. The plumber helped me look for a clean-out valve, but this had been made almost inaccessible by amateurs installing a shower. My other choice was to have him remove the toilet and do the work through that drain, then replace the toilet. There was about a $120 charge for this. Once the plumber arrived it took him about two hours to remove the toilet, clean that drain, clean an overflow drain next to it, test that the drains were running well, replace the toilet, then test that it was installed without leaking. The plumber was polite and professional. We got a senior citizen discount and a AAA discount."

"When they say Five Star, they mean Five Star! Top notch service and quality workmanship, if you're looking for both call Five Star! I was greeted kindly by Whitney when I called in to ask questions and she was able to get me set up with a diagnostic the next day! Justin showed up the next day promptly at the beginning of the time window. He was able to quickly diagnose the problem. He had the parts needed for repair on his truck and was able to fix it on the spot. He then retested the system to ensure it was fixed and explained everything to me. I noticed they do plumbing as well and I showed Justin my issues. He explained he had another HVAC call to get to but had his plumber in the area and he would stop by within the hour. Steven showed up about 45 mins later and was able to make two repairs for me upon arrival. I am so happy that I called Five Star to my house that day. I haven't had customer service like this in a long time. If you want a job done right and to do business with kind honest people, I couldn't recommend Justin and crew enough."

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Mammoth-creek, UT

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
