"Qualified Electric Specialists, Inc. was quick to respond to my request to add a connection to my service panel for a portable generator. They did not charge for a trip charge to look at the work being requested. However it is important to know that I was willing to work with the company and get the quote when they were in my area. The next day they were in my area. Many others wanted a $30 trip charge. They gave me a verbal estimate which turned out to be the same as the official quote and the same and the final bill. The techs arrived on time and did the work in the estimated time and for the price quoted. After the techs left I had a question, the owner called me back then was willing to have his techs come back that day, and they were about 20 miles away. The techs also called me back. With the information the tech provided me the issue was resolved and they did not have to return to my home. The problem with me not wanted to force a connection and the tech said that I would not brake it and new receptacles could be a little tight. (Think of your self plugging a cord into an outlet, some are tight and some are loose."

"What an awesome company. Called in the morning, they said they could come out in 2 days. They had me troubleshoot a few things and when I call back to say I needed a Service Call, they said they were in the area and would be here by noon. Randy and Cody went straight to work. They were professional and polite. Everything was fixed in a timely manner. What a great job they did. I would definitely hire them again and highly recommend Lance Electric to everyone."

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Manchester, GA

Because installing coax outlets involves working around existing electrical wiring and confirming proper grounding, many homeowners prefer to hire a licensed electrician. A professional completes the work safely, secures the line behind the wall, and ensures the installation meets local code, which reduces the risk of damage or future repairs.

You still need a coaxial outlet for most cable-based internet services. The modem draws its signal from a cable line that terminates at a dedicated wall jack. Once the modem is online, your Wi-Fi router can broadcast the signal throughout the home, so the outlet’s location doesn’t affect wireless performance. If an existing jack is damaged or in an inconvenient spot, an electrician can move it or install a new one to maintain a strong, reliable connection.

Coaxial cable loses signal strength the farther it runs. A 50-foot length introduces noticeable loss, and a 100-foot stretch can drop the signal by roughly 30%. A weaker signal can result in a fuzzy picture or slower internet speeds. To maintain high performance, limit cable length whenever possible, select the correct cable grade, and route it efficiently. If your layout demands an exceptionally long run, an electrician can install an inline amplifier to boost the signal and maintain picture or data quality.
